Ovulation Pain After Cysts

Dr. Q,

I had a complex hemmorhagic cyst, there had been some sort of rupture as there was blood, etc in my pelvic cavity. The dr. took about 1/3 of my remaining ovary. He said I would have regular ovarian function. My surgery was November 14. When I ovulate again, will it be more painful than usual? What can I expect as far as timing of ovulation?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Steph B.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thyroid function and TTC

Ok, very frustrated with my thyroid right now. I have been tested frequently in the past year for TSH levels. When I was pregnant the last time (identical twins lost at 22 weeks gestation) I was diagnosed with grave's disease. Currently, my TSH levels are at 4.79 and they tell me that they should be at 3.5 for fertility.

SInce I have Grave's, the fertility clinic and my perinatologist do not want to touch the thyroid levels to try to bring them to a good level, incase they send my in hyper again. But they tell me, It will take you maybe longer to get pregnant, but just keep trying.

So... all this to ask... How much do you think this will affect me getting pregnant AND is there anything I should ask for them to do/check? I am starting to get very upset by all of this and would like to rectify it as soon as possible. Thanks so much!

The function of tubes

Dr. Q you mentioned in a last post that a tube may be open but pregnancy depends on how well its functioning. Can you please explain? I thought if it was open it was functioning.
