Frozen IVF - Weird symptoms - talk to me please!

Hi, I'm new to the site & thought I'd start with this : I had ivf with 3 embryos (frozen) on 10/09/08. PG test is OCt 20th. The suspense is killing me! I'm cramping, bloated, there's some other pain 'down there' too-just pressure I guess. I'm a nervous nelly & I guess just need a friend. Anyone ever done frozen before? I've read alot about women cramping & it may or may not be normal. I'm nausiated too, but I was nausiated een from the pill! God Bless - Mommy of Angel

Frozen IVF

SO ladies, I need your help. I am going to have some of my frozen Embryos put back in early next year (January). They have been frozen over a year, will that make them less "fresh" so to speak? Or Weak? Also, after we have them put back, can I work and do normal things? I am so afraid that the reason my fresh cycle failed was because I did too much :-( Also I have a 2 year old son, can I still lift him?

frustrated!

Hello;

I am a 30 year old female who has PCOS, and my husband has a 2% strict morp. as well. We did IVF back in ct of 05, had a horrible cycle, only got one mature egg, it failed, somehow the month after we myserically got pregannt on our own, and now have a beattiful 2 year old son. Since our son we have done 1 IVF (PERFECT cycle, even have 10 eggs frozen, 2 A and the rest B). And one IUI, noe of this has worked. I cant understand why none of this is working for me?!? I am afraid to do a frozen cycle because I have have heard this is not a high sucess rate? Both my husband and I are only 30 years old. any suggestions?

frozen embies - IVF

I am 44yo dh 47, we used donor eggs. Fresh was neg, just complete frozen transfer - beta neg. My question is before (12 to freeze day 3) freezing we had 5,6,7,8 cells at the time of transfer thrawed 6 - 3 survied but they were only 2, 3, 5 cell. I know they can lose cells but it seems to me that something went wrong my in the lab. Before transfer I went to accup, my labs were fine, my lining was 15cm. My RE failed IVF protocal meds are predsione, baby asprin, lovenox. 3 days prior to transfer predisone was 40mg/day, tetracyline 1000mg/day plus my estradial, pio, than the day after transfer no antibiotic, predisone back to 10mg/day.

I dont know if i should seek a 2nd opionion - or is the damage done to the last 6 embies? I have appt with my RE in one week. Should we try again?

Does ICSI have a better live birth rate or does it help with implantation?

I am again attempting an IVF in England and wondering what to do; IVF or ICSI. I will be working with frozen sperm and yet because we have produced good blastocyst embryos in the past, my doctor thinks that I have as good a chance with IVF as ICSI. (My problem seems to be more with implantation than egg production; I recently had a hysteroscopy which removed scar tissue from my uterus.) However, will ICSI still give me a better chance? Does it help with implantation? It would cost me another 700 pounds (about $1500). Is it worth it? My donor's sperm is quite good too.

I am on CD7. I am taking clomid on days 5-9. The nurse told me to come in on the 5th for an ultrasound. Isn't that a little late? Also, what are he chances of me getting pregnant since I am fine and we are using donor sperm. I know it was 20 percent before clomid but does it increase with it.

Post Thaw Sperm Count

Dr. Q,

I just underwent my first iui. Sperm count was 47 million before freezing (and deemed "normal"), but today, the doctor said that the count was 10 million with 83% motility (post thaw). It's my understanding that the sperm count should be 20 million before an iui?? Is this a bad post thaw count? What do you like to see before doing an iui?

I ovulate regularly, but the doc. put me on clomid to increase our chances. I had a few folicles, with two (one on the right, and one on the left) measuring over 20mm. Do we have an average chance of conceiving this month?

Thanks for your help!

Frozen Embryo transfer

My husband & I have done (1) Fresh embryo transfer, which ended in a blightened ovum. Six months later we did our 1st Frozen embryo transfer. We were told the embryos were of excellent quality & my uterus was perfect, but it didn't work! I've also been doing acupunture along the way! We are about to do our final frozen embryo transfer & wanted to know if you have any suggestions as to what could increase our chances of it working this time?
