When to BD after taking ovridel injection?

I had a day 12 scan today which showed a follicle at 19mm.I was given the ovridel injection and told to BD tomorrow.The only thing is we got told to BD every other day from cd 10,so cd 10,12,14 etc.So we should be BD'ing tonight really.So what do you all think?To bd tonight and tomorrow or just tomorrow?please help im confused and dont want to miss the egg!!

Hi Doctor,

I know you can't predict how I'll do, since I'm not your patient. But I'm wondering if I'll have enough eggs at retrieval. Two months ago, I had an antral follicle count of 17, normal Day 3 labs, etc. I'll be 36 in December. I requested that my RE be conservative with my first IVF cycle (now), because I'm afraid of OHSS and other bad side effects. So he put me on 10 units of Lupron (beginning 1 week after my +OPK), 75 Gonal-F, and 75 iu of Menopur.

However, I'm now wondering if this will result in only a few eggs. We'd like to have a few to freeze for later.

Do you think I'll have enough? Will the above protocol lower my risk of nasty side effects?

confused about follicle!!!!!

hi ladies im new here and it seems a great place for answers and advice and prayers from all u wonderful ladies that r ttc as well here is my story

i am 34 and have pcos we have been ttc for 11 months i have done 6 months of clomid and fell preggo in may and m/c at 10 weeks so i had a break from clomid i have been back on it for 2 months and i went to hospital 2 days ago for 3 days i was in there with unbearable pain they gave me morphine and i had a u/s and they found a 18mm follicle and the surgeon came and tokd me to go home and make love with dh so i did even thru the pain i havent had clomid since the 12th oct and i had a weird bleed on the 16th when my af wasnt due until the 5th nov i dont feel i am ovulating or any symtons excpet hot flushes i dont know why i had a bleed and why do i still have hot flushes im so confused as the docs made it hard to understand wat to do about all this he said i will fall preggo and i wont get af but i dont know wat to do do i take the pill and get af so i can start the clomid again please help me understand all this xxx thank u all and baby dust to everyone xxxx sorry its so long but i am totally lost about this alot of it is so new to me xxxx

Does more follicles = worse progesterone-related symptoms?

This month, I had about 3 follicles start to develop, but at last check, they were 18, 14 and 12. So, I assumed only 1 matured.

But, pretty much immediately following O, I started to experience extreme fatigue, nausea, and sore breasts. Now, I am not one to jump straight to thinking these symptoms are a pregnancy sign, especially since they started so soon and we had a low response from hubby for our IUI.

But, since my RE wants to use more aggressive treatment with me next round, so I can produce more eggs, I'd like to know if increase in symptoms is related to increased number of follicles?

I am of need of help. I am in the process of IUI and have 5 follicles and need to make a choice. I currently have 5 follies measuring 17, 17, 16, 15 and 15. Should I go ahead and have the IUI on Friday or cancel and start over next month.

i had a u/s to check follicle size and i had one and it was only 1.21cm today is cd14...i do ovulate late usually cd19-20..do you think it still has time to grow..or should it be larger than it is? i am on 50mg of clomid days 4-8.

This is my first cycle with Femara & I am just wondering how big my follicles should be on CD10? They are currently measuring 7.5mm on the left with about 4 that look prominent. The right still looks pretty small, which is good because this tube is blocked. I am just wondering if anyone knows if this is appropriate size for day 10? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I am on my last day of Femara today & then I will be doing an US on day 12 to see if I have any follicles maturing. Does anyone know how big the follicle needs to get before they give you the HCG shot? Any info would be great, I just want to know what we are shooting for!

Why would a follicle shrink instead of grow?

Dr Q/Eva or girls: I had an u/s 4 days ago and i had two follies (worth mentioning). One was 7.5 and the other was 8.5. Now today the 7.5 has increased to 13mm and the 8.5mm has gone down to 8mm.

I am on 75ui of menopur/day. (lose dose since i have pcos)...any thoughts would be great!

And why do I just have one okay follicle now!? :(

Well i went to see my OB b/c I took my first round of 50mg clomid and he didnt like what he saw- I guess I am not really responding to this dosage- Turns out my right ovary has a dominant follicle but its only at 13mm and he was hoping to see more like 18mm in order to give me the HcG (profasi ? ) injection. My endo lining was at 6mm which he said he didn't really like either. I am going back on Tues to see if that follicle looks any better....

Should I stay on that dosage of clomid again or should I go up to 100mg. ?

I am trying not to get discouraged but would like to hear some GOOD news for once !

I have one and half year married life and try to conceive.Before six month i have done hysteroscopy,in that doctor removed septum from uterous.

Now I am checking for ovulation,periods are regular,but ovulation is not happening.When my follical becomes mature,it does not released and form a cyst(size greater than 27mm to 33mm).Hormons like TSH,FSH,PROLACTINE are normal.Your kind suggestion please.

I am wondering if every follicle contains a egg? Is there any other procedure besides IVF that can tell u if ur follicles contain a egg or not? I know that in ur 40's there is a syndrome called "Empty Follicle Syndrome" but Im only 30 yrs old and Im wondering how anyone would know if there follicle contains a egg or not?

Im doing IUI for the 1st time and I have 2 good follicles and maybe a 3rd but Im not sure if I want to continue since I just found this info out.

I am wondering if u can still ovulate and not have mature follicles or not? Also.. Im wondering if I have 2 follicles measuring 13 and 12 and one that meausres 11 will all of them grow to 19-20mm by the time that I trigger? I am doing IUI w/ ovulation induction and doing Gonal F 37.5 but they might be uping the dose today.. not sure yet. I also did Femara on CD3-7. Im am currently on CD9.

I was hoping for more mature follicles then what I have since I had 13 potential follicles to work with but it doesnt look like that is going to happen.

Hi i know i ahve asked lots of questions in the past but i still have so many.

I went to see the specialist about my next treatment, they advised that my follicle are 1.2, 1.1, 1.0 (this is without treatment) and they stated that they think i should have ovulated but i ahve been testing everyday and i am not ovulating, they dont seem to be listening but im not ovulating. why is this? any ideas??

I had an ultrasound on day 15 and had a 16mm follicle. I went back on day 20 and had a 26mm follicle that never released. What would make this follicle not release? Would I still get positive OPKs and a rise in BBT? Thanks so much!!

dear doc Q i had earlier discussed my condition with you.i had earlier two pregnancies in 2001 and 2003 which i had termintaed by MTP.in 2007 i was diagnosed with endometriosis and underwent surgery for the same. i consulted my doc and she suggested time was not on my side as i am 33 years old and have slightly high fsh 12.25.she performed iui on me by giving me 100 CC ,loprin from day 2 of my period for 5 days and monitored the follicles in the left ovary there were cysts on day 2 measuring 26 into 30mm,12 into 16mm and 18.8 into 14mm where as right ovary was quiet.on day 8 the size of the follicles was 12.5,12 and 12 in the right ovary and endometrial thickness was 4.9mm hence the doctor gave me progynova 2mg morning evening to increase the endometrial thickness.on day 11 the size was 19,17 and 16 and 6.3mm endometrial thickness.on day 13 size was 21,19 and 18mm and thickness on endometrium was 9mm.on day 13 the doc advised me to have 10000 Iu HCG injection at 10:00pm and callled me for examination on day 14.on day 15 the follicle size was same and she performed IUI on me. and called me the next day again that is on day 16 the size of follicles had incraesed to 25,24and 23mm and they had not burst to release the egg.she gave me a shot of 5000IU hcg the same day.and also told me that i do not have much hope of success and there are only 25% chances of my ever concieving and that too with IVF and she said w should not waste anymore time with IUI and try with IVF kindly advise.in distress awaiting your advice

OK, so I am 27 and have 3 children. I am trying to conceive #4 and last child, before having a total hysterectomy! I have been ttc offically for a year, but unofficially for 2 years. I have PCOS, really bad, and have only 1 ovary due to pcos. I had my left ovary removed in 2004 due to a rare cyst and cysts removed from my right ovary countless times! I have had abnormal paps since atleast 2004, probably earlier. I have been diagnosed with cervical cancer, and have had numerous colposcopies, biopsies, and 1 LEEP! I went on Avandia in 2005 and got pregnant with my youngest daughter in 2006. since then its been a downward spiral for me. I don't ovulate on my own due to pcos. So 2 months ago my ob/gyn told me he would give me 6-9 months to conceive before doing a total hysterectomy. So he started me on metformin, did a month of that, still no AF ( no AF for 6 months actually). So he added provera to start my af, then did my first round of clomid @50mg days 3-7. I went for a follicle screen on cd15 and there was only 1 follicle that measured 1 1/2 cm. dr. wasn't impressed, but did a progesterone level on cd21. I got a positive opk on cd 15 as well as ewcm, and o pains. My progesterone level didnt look like I ovulated, so he said when Af comes that he will raise my dose of clomid to 100 mg. but if she doesn't come by 14dpo (which is tomorrow) then to take hpt's. I took one yesterday and got a bfn.. took one today and have no idea what it is, but think its a faulty test. I am gonna go buy NEW ones tonite and retest tomorrow! GOOLUCK EVERYONE and lots of babydust.
