First Scan Today!

We went to our first ultrasound today! The quality was actually pretty crummy - I'm 6 weeks 5 days today. The baby is pushed right up against the yolk sac so it was hard to see the baby. We will go back in a week or two for a better one. The baby's heart rate was 120 - which the tech said was good for this early. Is anyone is in this boat with me? Has anyone else gone for a scan that is due in October????

First RE meeting

Well yesterday, Wed. 2/18, DH and I had our first appt with our RE. He is truly the most amazing man I've ever met. I was very nervous about liking him and the facility. Everyhting was top notch. He gave me so much hope and had so many encouraging words. His concern is why for the last 6 months my periods have been coming later each time. He is ordering blood work and an hsg. I've had 2 normal, healthy pregnancies from my previous marriage and had no problems conceiving. So the only difference now is my age. We'll do the blood work on day 3, whenver that may be and then schedule the hsg for after that time. DH and I are so excited and anxious to go deeper with this process. I have a great feeling which I haven't had in a long time. I'm keeping fingers crossed that all it's going to take is a little clomid to jump start these "old" eggs and get me on my way to my bfp. ***baby dust***

femara and first IUI

This is my second round of femara, clomid left my uterine lining too thin, and my follicles were too small on CD 12. They were around 9 and 10. my cycles are usually 29-30 days, do my follicles have enough time to mature to schedule our IUI?

What to do about Baby First Stuffy Nose...MOMMIES Help!

Hi Yall!

Sydney (11 weeks) has her first stuffy nose. Its only when she wakes up, no fever- and drainage is clear. So I am thinking its just from sleeping ( I get stuffy at night too soemtimes) and shes sleeping all night now...?

Any ideas? Its so bad that she cant nurse when she first wakes up, and she get frustrated, understandably. I dont want to rush to the doc, and dont want to give any meds... when not necessary.

I did get a humidifyer this weekend and have used that only one night- other ideas?

Again,

- no temp

-clear drainage in the morning only

- drainage makes her cough

thanks for any suggestions :)

First IUI Tomorrow

Hi everyone, I am finished with my clomid. I did 50mg days 5-9. I went to the RE on Saturday and had a follicle at 15mm. I went back yesterday January 26 and had bloodwork and an ultrasound done and the same follicle is now at 20mm. So my hubby gave me the ovidrel shot last night at 9pm and we are scheduled to go in for the IUI at 9:30 am tomorrow January 28. But the nurse said my lining was still very thin. I hope it's thick enough to stick. And is it possible to get pregnant with one follicle? I am soooo nervous and afraid it's going to hurt. Anyways that's my story, I hope we all get BFP's soon.

1st Cycle of Clomid failed

Well I go my most tell-tale period sign that it'll be here soon. I am SO tired and had to nap this morning. This always happens about a few days to a week before hand. I am so bummed. I had 12 or more follicles and did 3 inseminations(ivi not iui). I was really hopeful and now I am thinking I should stop the lovenox and baby aspirin. Should I try clomid and go through hell again next month or do a natural cycle. My ovaries might have cysts leftover but I won't know as I won't get an u/s.

baby measuring small during first ultrasound

my LMP was 5 Dec08, so i thought i m 6weeks pregnant. But had a transvaginal u/s yesterday, did not see a defined sac but doc said there is a sac structure seen quite far away and measured at 5weeks not 6weeks. We did a hcg blood test & he mentioned that its within range of 5weeks pregnant. I am confused.

Here is what i hv noticed:

Ovulated on 19 Dec 08

Short cramp on 11DPO

bfn on 11DPO not using FMU

Bfp on 15DPO

Sore boobs

Pinkish discharge since past wednesday but on & off.

Is there anything wrong? Really too early? I am really hoping for the best.

I only have my right tube & had been trying for more than a year. Pls anyone experience this yet had a normal baby? I am open to all advices.

Thanks all!

What happens at the first RE appointment?

Most of you know I am on my 4th round of Clomid and the only thing we know of that we have against us is DH's morphology and that seems to be controversail. I have one doc saying it could be an issue and one who thinks its fine. His counts and motility are great and above average but the morph is a little low. I have been begging my OBGYN for an HSG but he is stalling on that for some reason. I go for an U/S on Monday to see how the Clomid is treating me and I'm gonna ask again.

So, I procatively made an appointment with an RE. The first available appointment was Arpil 20 (there are only 2 in town) which works out good b/c I will be finishing up my last round of Clomid around that time. I was just wondering what will happen at the first RE appointment. DH has already had 2 S/A's that were consistent with each other so will they do another? What should I expect?

My IVF Journey

Here's my story. Dh and I have been married since August 4, 2007. I am 27 and he is 29. We have been together since the 8th grade. We ttc soon after we were married, but no luck, everyone kept telling us to wait and relax and that it would happen, but I had a weird feeling, that it wouldn't be so easy. I have been diagonsed with crohn's disease and I always thought that would hinder me from getting preggo. Well we went to see a RE, she ran all sorts of tests, hsg (extremely painful) and a sa on my hubby, well the results came back and hubby had an extremely low sperm count. (500,000-4 million). We sat there in shock when she told us that we would have to go to IVF with ICSI, as she was doubtful that anything else would work for us. So here we are, we were supposed to start on CD 21 on Jan 9th but I got a mild flare of my crohn's so my gastro told me that it would be better to wait till the next month. My af is supposed to come on Jan 16th, so my cd21 is around Feb 5th, and that's when I will be starting my lupron injections. We never imagined it would be so hard......

baby measuring small in the first trimester?

Dear Doctor

Can a baby be OK if it is measuring small in the first trimester? and What would the cause of the small measurments be.

I had my first ultrasound today and I was able to see the heartbeat, however, my RE said the baby was measuring small. I am 7 weeks 1 day today but the baby is measuring at 5 1/2 weeks. The doctor said it looks healthy, but it is just smaller. I have to go back in two weeks for another ultrasound.

Thanks

Mary
