How long after ectopic until hcg drops to 0?

Ok so this is kind of complicated, but 11/5/08 I went to the local ER for pain that ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. The twist is the U/S supposedly showed twins! 1 in my uterus & 1 in my right fallopian tube,Hcg level was high 5k/almost 6k at 5weeks 3days. I was taken by ambulance to a bigger hospital 1hr away.

There the Dr looked at the same U/S pictures after I insisted I wanted an alternative surgery to save the baby in my uterus. The Dr then claimed the other hospital/Dr was wrong and only 1 baby was in my right tube. So I 11/6/08 I had surgery to remove ectopic, but I still feel preg(tender breasts)and no bleeding except a few drops of pink right after surgery. Is it possible the Dr lied so I would have surgery?!I still have paperwork for lab hcg test to take at the local hospital when I can. I'm terrified that the Dr lied! So my question is with levels that high how long would it take hcg to go down to zero?! Also weren't my hcg levels high for a singleton in my tube only?!Was the 1st hospital telling the truth about twins?! Maybe I'm being paranoid, but why would I be told two different stories?! Please answer Dr or ladies, but I prefer the Dr on here to answer with opinions and advice! I keep having dreams I'm preg still too! I just can't stop wondering if it's still possible there's still a baby in my uterus like the orginal hospital told me. I feel so crazy for asking this, but it's really bothering me. When I finally get my beta hcg done again, I'll probably feel stupid, but what if it's true?

Short Fallopian Tubes

Yersterday I got a HSG test done and the doctor told me my fallopian tubes are kinda short. Will that make a different in conceiving? Also, one of my tubes didn't really show up on the test but it showed the dye getting where it was suppose to be. Does that mean anything? I know my husband and I been trying to conceive on our own for 3 years and my husband had kids before so it has to be me being the problem or it's from him being older and a diabetic now.

DR. Q

I have a question..... Can you explain to me on a fallopain tube being dilated.

My HSG was nornal as my fallopain tubes are open they have great spillage on both sides. but my OB was concerned that my right fallopain tube was dilated. But he doesn't think that will case me not to get pregnant. so he referred me to Reproductive Associates.

are they the same things as RE's?

explain to me about my right tube being dilated and would that keep me from becoming Pregnant?

left distal hydrosalpinx

I have been told now that I have a left distal hydrosalpinx and will have to have a laparoscopy and dye test for further investigation. I have been given Clomiphene (Clomid) 100mg on Days 2 - 6 of my cycle and will start these this coming weekend.

Please could you advise whether it is still possible to get pregnant with this problem and are these hydrosalpinx repairable? I have read so many conflicting documents on the internet that my head is spinning!

Thank you

Kerry

Blocked Fallopain Tubes

My doctor told me that I had a pelivc inflammation disease and put me on doxycycline and cipro and I took that for 14 days. He said that would help get pregnant, but I've been reading that that cause blocked fallopain tubes. I'm not sure if I need to see if he can send me for a HSG test. He also put me on clomid to see if I could get pregnant. If in fact my fallopain tubes are blocked is there anything that can be done to unblock them? Thanks

Dear Dr. Q

I was diagnosed with enlarged left fallopian tube. 3.5 cm as per US. But doctor says it must be the tube. I asked does it look something dangerous he said no. I am going for a lap soon. Will my rt.tube be probably damaged. Is there a way of correcting my left tube without removing it.

one blocked fallopian tube

Hi,

We have been TTC for a year and just found out through a HSG that I have one blocked fallopian tube. I have two children already. Could my tube have become blocked after this , my youngest is only two. I have never had a infection or any STD's. I know this b/c you get tested when your pregnant. I am so confused how just two years after having a baby I could have a blocked tube. What are the chances, now that I only have one tube? Please help?!

ttc after lap for endo?

my daughter is 27, has endo and one fallopian tube. she just had surgery to remove cyst and adhesions.surgery was succesful ovary is healthy and her tube looks healthy but we dont know if its blocked or not. her other ovary and tube were surgically removed due to a chocolate cyst 4 years ago. doctor wants her to try ivf and has put her on bc until she can go for iv. says doesnt want to risk her getting more cysts if she has regular periods. what would your opinion be of her trying to conceive naturally? she has two failed ivf attempts.thanks for your input.
