walking/ exercise during pregnancy

Good morning,

I started to feel the need to exercise. I am currently 27 weeks preggo and weight about 149. I started out at 125. I feel like my weight gain is a little much. I have not been the most concious about eating the greatest (not horrible, either) and slacked on the exercise. FOr the benefit of the baby's health and my health, I wanted to clean up my act a bit. I have a treadmill at home and thinking about starting a walking routine. Strictly walking at a moderate pace. Do you think it will be ok to start this at my stage of pregnancy. Fortuantly, everything has gone well with this pregnancy so far.

lifting and pushing at 20 weeks

So this may sound silly but I am going to ask. I was shutting the back hatch on my SUV today and thought - wow is this bad that I am doing this because it is kind of heavy? Do lifting groceries hurt you? I am freaking out that maybe I pushed to hard to close the hatch becuase it was heavy and could i have hurt the placenta??? AH, I feel fine but I am always nervous about something - do you think i am okay? I have my 20 week u/s on this friday, should i tell my dr?

IVF/Frozen?

When one goes through a Frozen cycle or fresh IVF. Why does one need to be put on bed rest? So the IVF that I just went through failed, could it be because I went ot work righ tafter and did normal activites (no heavy lifting and limited stairs). Couls that of been why it failed?

4 days late?

Is it possible that starting a new tae-bo workout earlier this month, before ovulation occurred, could cause me to skip a period this month? I usually have a 27 day cycle (give or take a day), but I'm now on CD 31, with no signs of AF. I started the tae-bo workout and did it like 5 x, but quit about 3 days before I got a positive (or at least I thought it was a positive) on the OPK. I usually ovulate around CD 16 with only a 10-11 day luteal phase. If I'm not pregnant, then did the exercise cause me to skip a period? I had a lot of pressure around the time of when my period should've started and it lasted 4 days and then went away. I usually spot for a day or two before AF arrives, but still no sign of it. What's going on? I NEVER, NEVER miss a period(even when I started working out a lot in February, as well).

delayed ovulation due to exercise

Doctor,

This is my 3rd cycle trying to conceive. For this cycle, I have been doing strength training and aerobics classes 4 times a week (this is my 2nd week of working out consistently). I got a lot of EWCM and 2 peak days on my monitor. Today I got a high on the monitor but my temp is still low. I am on CD 19, which is late for me to ovulate- I have consistent 29 day cycles and 12 day luteal phase. Is my intense exercising delaying my Ovulation and will it mess up chance to conceive? Also, should I scale back on the intensity in order to conceive?

Exercise after 2nd Tri Loss and Prepping for IVF

Lupron is not kind to me in regards to weight issues.

Before I started my Infertility journey I was actually in reasonably good shape. As things continued, I found exercise going to the wayside as I kept coming across a lot of information to avoid some of my preferred exercises (Egyptian style bellydance and weightlifting). Egyptian style is NOT low impact when done right.

It has been almost 3 years since I seriously worked out and I am feeling like I need to do something while waiting for some answers. In that time, I have gained between 40 and 60 lbs. (Yes, some of this is from stress eating.)

I know that most acupuncturists recommend only walking as an exercise - which I think would be safe for me even though I had a late miscarriage. I am thinking that while I'm on lupron, I should be able to resume some weightlifting - but I'm concerned about trying to do any core-centric exercises - pilates, crunches, reverse crunches, etc.

Doctors: After all of this, I guess my main question is, how long should I wait from the D&C to pushing core exercises / weightlifting since the m/c was in the 2nd trimester?

Dr Q...exercise and late period question

I just started a 12 week work out program at a local gym. This workout is not designed for me to lose weight or lose a lot of body fat, it's just to get me toned up and back in shape and develop better eating habits...I was on the fast food and soft drink diet LOL. I have been doing this since May 27 (about 2 weeks,) I go 3 times a week. According to fertilityfriend, my chart says I ovulated on May 21, before I started working out. I don't temp, it is going by OPKs an my CM.

My question is can exercise make your period late AFTER you have already ovulated? I am 3 days late according to my chart and getting BFNs. I know exercise can throw ovulation off but can it make you late after ovulation? I wasn't temping so I know it could be off a few days. I am on CD34 and no signs of AF. The last time I had a 34 day cycle was back in Jan. and we traveled the week of ovulation and I think that threw it off. My cycles are usually 31 days at the most.

Sorry so long, wanted to give you as much info as possible. = )

Thanks!!

Exercise Question for Dr Q

Dr Q: I just had my 1st appt w/an RE last week. They suggest me loosing 10 lbs before going back on clomid next month (or as close to it as I can & then continue toward that goal after starting again). Am currently off clomid so they can do blood work this month.

How much exercise is "safe" while TTC as one does not know PG until time for AF really & can you possibly do damage with too much exercise during the 2ww?

Exercise Question

I looked through previous posts related to exercise and didn't see anything about running. I have always been pretty active and do the on/off the wagon with the gym and exercise videos. My question is about running. My cousin is trying to talking me into doing a 1/2 marathon (13 miles) so I have been just getting a feel for running. I have never really been a runner and I have been doing a moderate/slow jog for about 4 miles and then try to get on the treadmil other times when I can't get outside. Because of weather and work it has only been 2-3 times a week. Do you think this is ok to start jogging while TTC? Should I not do it in the 2ww period?

Need your advice on activity after HCG shot and intercourse

I am taking my HCG shot tonight. Then will BD 12, 24, and 36 hours after. I have a trip planned this weekend to go skiing. Should I be concerned about falling down? Not sure if it will effect the implanation or anything??? Also, should I avoid a hot tub?
