Post ET protocols

I'm 40 yo and I just had my 5th IVF ET, this time with a new doc. My 1st IVF ended in an ectopic; my 2nd IVF resulted in a live birth, my 3rd was a FET and was a clinical preg.; my 4th was a fresh IVF and was a clinical preg.

This new doc has completely different post ET protocol. He does not do any bloodwork to check progesterone or estrogen. I'm on 4 mg. of estrogen and use prometrium 3 x a day. That's it. My old doc checked my blood every 3 days and altered my estrogen and progesterone accordingly. Also, he had us using progesterone shots, not vaginal insertsHe also had me taking 1 low dose aspirin with calcium daily. What are your thoughts on the difference, I am programmed to think that monitoring the hormone levels are necessary and worry about this.

pain after ET?

I had my embryo transfer on Monday the 27th with one 8 cell embryo and one compacted embryo. I have been having severe cramps and havent been able to 'rest' as i wanted to...i was wondering if this could be a side effect of the progesterone coz i know implantation wont occur so soon..

the pain was quite severe..i cried for 3 hours and even tylenol did not help..

did anyone experience anything like this or am i just more sensitive to cramps as i never have them during my period?

Fertility Blend

Thank you for your advice regarding frozen embryo transfer. You suggested Fertility Blend. The product looks great, but my question is.. It says not to use if you are using hormones. Which we are doing estrogen tablets & Progesterone injections. Would you still reccomend we try this while on hormones? Thank you for the baby dust. Lord knows we need it!!

I had embryo implant with donor egg, and my husband's sperm. I was on bed rest for a few days. In those few days of rest I had to strain to have a bowel movement. My question is did I do any harm to the embryo that was implanted?

Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hello there,

I am 5 weeks pregnant and I am feeling kind of a sharp pain that comes and

goes and sometimes gets more dull on the lower left side of my pelvis. I got pregnant through IVF and

between the embryo transfer and my pregnancy test I got a very bad cold

and I couldn't stop coughing very strongly day and night. Is it possible

that the strong cough made the embryo move and implant out of the uterus?

Could this pain that I am feeling be normal? (It doesn't feel that it is

in my uterus). I am having my first pregnancy ultrasound in 9 days...

should I wait or call my doctor? I am very worried

Thanks so much
