PCOS

I have PCOS and have never had a period on my own for at least 4 years. I have only had a period if I take Provera. Friday I started spotting brown discharge and Saturday was a bit brighter but then stopped. What could this mean? I have not been on medication or had a period since Oct 07.

Endometrial conversion

Hi Dr.Q,

Recently i read an article which says that, a dosage of 100 milligrams twice a day or 200 milligrams per day of natural progesterone will usually produce endometrial conversion or prevent hyperplasia. what does it mean? please explain...

After an ectopic and menstrual cycle

I'll do my best to keep this short so that I don't rant and rave. :)

Since I started my period at 15, I have always been 'normal' with my cycle. I had light periods; not a lot of cramping.

I had an ectopic pregnancy in October 2006, resulting in the removal of my left tube. I missed the month of November(which I expected) then had two periods in December and January(2007). Then I didn't have a period from February till July, I believe.

When I finally did get the period in July, it was the most painful period I have ever had, along with heavy bleeding. It's been over a year since the surgery and I have yet to be 'normal' again.

Is this how it is going to be for the rest of my life?

This entire ectopic pregnancy experience, along with the OB/GYN's I met with has been terrible for me. I'm sure I'll understand why I had to go through it one day, but I seriously begin to have anxiety thinking about going to see another GYN or OB.

My husband suggested going to see a therapist(he would since he is in school for that). I should be starting next week. This is not me! It's so frustrating.

There I go ranting and raving. Any advice is welcomed.

Thank you in advance.
