When I had my ET last time RE require me to take doxycycline antibiotics after ET transfer Is this safe to take while trying to get pregnant? It won't result for another M/C in the future? I'm scared to take it thought might have another M/C in the future. I know why they recommend to take it bec. they don't want any infection bec. foreign object went inside me...Please help!!!Thanks a lot Dr.Q

What are the chances in IVF procedure of getting pregnant in one embryo? transfer in the transfer procedure I'm 36 yrs. of age I already have one M/C or twins with two embryo transfer in Oct. Will soon having the procedure next wk.( what is my percentage to have a live birth this time??. And also the chances of having twins again...Please help!!! need some peace of mind..Thanks a lot for your time.

I had ET yesterday (3 Embies) and I am having sharp cramping today. Sharp pain is moving from the sides to the top of my stomach. When I am relaxing and laying down it goes away but when I try to eat or drink the pain comes back. What do you think this can be?

I am just a tad nervous...

For my 1st IVF cycle we transferred 2 blasts on day 5 and my RE said my blasts looked good. The cycle did not result in a pregnancy. We're considering a 3 day transfer w/ assisted hatching the next time around. Here is my question: Assuming our embryos look just as good as the 1st time, for IVF #2 are we better off doing a 3dt w/ AH or letting them get to blast and do a 5dt? I'm nervous since the 5dt of blasts didn't work the first time. Thanks.

2 days afetr transfer I had an orgasm. I think its bcoz of all the harmones I thought I must have it. Somehow in my mind I had some thinking that it will help in implantation by increasing blood circulation to my uterus-read it somewhere. Have I done something wrong? I hear also the embryo is like a dust sticking to hones so it will not fall out. Is it true?

Hi Dr. Q how long can I be in bed rest after embryo transfer??? My doctor recommends 2-3 days...But since I had the Miscarriage the first time Me and DH thinks that I should be in bed rest for the first trimester to avoid M/C again??? What do you recommend I am 36 yrs old and my D/H is 35 of age....Pls help....Thank you I'm just scared to have another M/C and I want some preventive precaution suggestion that will help in my case. Can embryos fertilize after the 24H period?

Dear Dr,

I had 3 embryos retrieved and one fertilized within the 24H mark. Is there a chance that the other 2 will fertilize a little later. In IVF labs how long will you keep the eggs to look for fertilization? Thank you.

I am melanie78. Somehow could not open my account. I know most ppl remember my story. The result is 3 eggs retrieved and got a phone call saying only one fertilized. Dr what are my chances with one embryo transfer? They are very happy that the embryo looks very good.

I had my Embryo transfer on Monday and I was wondering if i could attend a Halloween party tonight..I dont have to go really..and of course if i go I wont be drinking at all or dancing...what do you guys think? btw...i have been resting/sleeping at home since monday..DH is on leave n taking care of me, cooking, cleaning :-) so i am kinda bored being home reading books and not getting out of my pj's..lol

hi doctor i have emailed you before and you replayed, thank you, this time i feel very bad, just small reminder that i have had egg pick up on the 9th and transfer day 2 of 2 embryo on the 11 3 and 4 cells, today is the 18th of october here in australia, since 2 days ago i'm experincing bad cough and tempreture of 38D my chest feels with muces and water and have bad cough,, don't know if it is flu or what,by the way i don't know how to count my DPO or my DPT should i count starting from the same day i had pick up as day one or from the following, also i have done two hpt today morning and two days ago both were nigative, is that mean i'm for sure not pregnant or was too early to test, thank you agin

I had a frozen embryo transfer on 10/09/08, my docotr wants me in for a blood test to see if I'm pregnant on 10/20/08. I thought I had to wait 14 days, but that's only 11 days after. Does this sound ok to you? Thanks you.

hi dr i'm on crinone gel supplement twice daily since the egg pick up which was on the 9 on this month and had transfer on the 11 for 2 ebmryos but since last night every time i get a bet of the gel discharge the gel colour is a bit pick not white also not very pink you hardly see the pink but deffinettly not white, what could that be
