Low Estradiol and e2 levels

4 mature follies, E2 at 139, 8mm uterine Lining. 40 Yrs. old. Took 15 days at 450 Gonal F injections. What gives with the E2, does that mean none of the follies have good eggs??

Low E2

I have low E2 this IUI cycle (2 mature follicles and E2 is @ 110). My lining is ok at 8.5, but I'm still worried. It was low last cycle too. Does this mean that I have poor quality eggs? What are some other possible reasons for low E2?

IVF Cycle: E2 Level prior to Trigger for Egg retrieval

I am just curious about your estrogen levels prior to trigger shot for egg retrieval. I am not sure what the level is at today yet but yesterday mine was at 2480 and today is Stim day 13. I have a feeling that my level will be in the 3000s today...is that too high or is that still safe?

E2 & Progestorone Levels after Ovulation

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what their E2 and progestorone levels were 7 days after their IUI. I just called my Dr. and was told mine were 37 for progestorone and 254 for E2. They told me those numbers were ok but they sound low to me. Can't find much out on the web about it. I know I shouldn't read to much into it but I'm curious.

Estrogen levels--what is normal & how important is it?

I had my CD10 scan yesterday. I took Femara 5mg on CD3-CD7, and Gonal-F 37.5 IU starting on CD7, and this will be my 2nd IUI. I have 2-3 follicles that are still maturing (13mm, 11mm, 9mm). My E2 was 86. This is my 3rd cycle w/ injections, and no one has ever mentioned my E2 level until now.

My RE said that E2 level actually better this time than ever, and that even when I had 5 mature follicles (last cycle), my E2 level was only in the 80 range. Because of this, she suspects that I had lower quality eggs in the previous cycle (which ended w/ a chemical preg).

My Gonal-F dose was lowered from 75 to 37.5 this cycle, and during the u/s my RE said thought that this was a mediocre cycle (w/ just 2 follicles), and that I should go back to the higher dose of Gonal-F. But, after she got my E2, she changed her tune and said that this is the best cycle I’ve ever had, and that I should stick w/ the 37.5 dose (even though it’s slow going).

Is Estrogen that important to a successful cycle? What is a ‘normal’ E2 level? Could this be part of my infertility problem?

IVF, less follicle and low e2

Dear Dr,

I started my stimulation drugs 11 days ago for IVF. I am put on only 112.5 gonal F once a day since it is my first trial on injectibles. After 5 days of stimulation my dosage was increased to 150 iu of gonal F for another 5 days. But todays US showed only 3 follicles of good size 21,22 and 19 and my e2 level is only 400. My RE said that we can go on to egg collection. I will be stimming for 3 more days. My dosage will be 188iu for two days and 75iu on wednesday and then the trigger. Egg collection on friday. Now the question is why my e2 level is such low? Why I am having such a poor response? If I am put on high dose in the beginning would I have responded better? Are my ovaries very old? I am only 30. Please respond. Your answer will help me a lot.

Low e2 level after 5 days of stimulation

I had an US today at cd7. I started gonal F 112.5iu on cd 2. Today my RE counted 5 follicles in each ovary. There are 4 follicles like 14,12,11,13mm and the others are smaller than this. The least is 4mm. He said he is satisfied with the response and after my e2 testing he said he will most likely increase my dosage to 150iu. What do you think about my response to gonal F. Does it seem to be OK? waiting to hear your response.Dr Q got my e2 level-it is only 103pg after 5 days of stimulation with gonal F. Is it bad? From today I will be taking 150IU of gonal F till sunday and go for US on monday morning. Do you think my level will rise?

Progesterone & Estradiol Levels

My cycles are typically 25-28 days. On cd36 AF still had not arrived so RE wanted to take blood work to see what's going on. My progesterone came back at .6 and estradiol was 132. Nurse indicated that meant either I hadn't ovulated yet OR I had and AF would be heading my way soon.

My question is are these progesterone and estradiol levels within the "normal" range for someone 2-3 days before AF arrives?

Thanks.

IVF and E2 level

Hi Dr. Q

I went in for E2 and U/S today after 9 nights of stimulation. Things seem to be going well: around 17 follies (there may be more that are really small which they didn't measure) varying in sizes from 16mm down. Was taking 150 Menopur, 150 Follistim with 5 Lupron. Then Follistim was cut in 1/2 for two nights. Today my E2 went from 953 on Thursday to 2193 and Follistim was cut out completely. Is there a point where the E2 can get too high or as long as it is consistently going up it's ok? How are things sounding to you? I am starting to drink some Gatorade, any other suggestions? THANKS!!!

2nd round of injectables

I have recently changed RE's and am currently doing my 2nd round of injectables to be followed with an IUI. I started clomid CD1-5 & on CD5 started 150 of follistim (overlap). I am to have blood work and an U/S on Tuesday. My first round back in April was clomid 150mg CD3-7 & on CD8 I started 150 of follistim with a micro dose of ovridel for 5 days. What was the purpose of the micro ovridel that was used during my first round? Does this injectable increase your chances of pregancy? I also have a problem with low estrogen--will starting the meds earlier in my cycle increase my E2 levels or should I ask for supplementation. In April I had a follicle 23, 18 & 15 and an E2 of less than 200. This will be my 3rd attempt at IUI---I was wondering how common and if a good practice to do back to back IUI's--1 using my DH sperm and then a sperm donor. My DH has some morphology issues.

ovaries MIA

I have several questions:

1)My E2 level on CD8 after femera 7.5 mg CD3-7 was 37. Today on CD11 after 150 units of follistim and 10 micro units of ovidrel x3 days was 170. Is this a normal level and how should the follistim be affecting it--since it is drawn q 3days? I am to continue taking the same meds and return on Wednesday.

2)I have missing ovaries (actually they are very difficult to find). I have both and know they work since I was pregant before. Some scans (transvag.) they can find 1 or the other, never both and sometimes they can't find them at all which makes it hard to monitor my follicle growth. My RE told me today that he was going blind trying to find them. We have also tried to monitor by just the abd. u/s--even then I seem to have left my ovaries at home. Is there anything that I can do to help find them----I am being told that they are located to high. I have tried doing the ovary dance but no luck. I would appreciate any suggestions since monitoring my ovaries is important while doing injectables.

Estradiol levels & implantation

My husband and I recently finished our first IVF cycle which ended as a negative. At the beginning of my cycle i reacted TOO WELL to the FSH and my levels actually spiked at 13,000. After my Doc lowered my dose from 300iu - 75iu, my levels dropped drastically down to 3000 in 3 days. At the time of Embryo transfer my E2 was at 4500. My question is, Could the E2 level have continued to drop drastically and effected whether or not the embryo's implanted?
