Are You Pregnant During Or After Your Period?

Pregnancy articles cofuse me....My last period was April 17th 2008 and my due date is January 22 2009....I ovulated at the end of April till the beginning of May....So wouldn't that mean I had sex at the end of April or beginning of May and got pregnant after my period?

3 week difference on pregnancy due date calculations?

When i went for what i thought was my 12 week checkup the doctor couldnt make out the heart beat so she sent me for an ultra sound. come to find out that i was only 9.5 weeks at the time. when my doctor did the internal exam she said that i was def growing and was expected to be 12-14 weeks. so my question is why.. why is the growth of my uterus 3 weeks bigger than the size of my baby and what does that mean?

Pregnancy due date calculation

Why is it when a woman gets pregnant they count from the first day of their last period? So when they only ovulated 2 weeks ago they say they are 4 weeks along? My friend is 30 weeks pregnant but her Dr's calculated her due date 40 weeks after the week she ovulated... I'm so confused...

Stopping Progesterone- Before AF is Due?

I am due for Af tomorrow- and I am on progesterone vaginal support ( 7 DPO/ CD21 my level was 29) I am taking it as a "just in case"... My question is if I stop it on my own and I do not get my period , does that mean I could be pregnant- I am aware progesterone can delay AF- but I have been told if it does and NOT pregnant- AF will start 2-3 days after stopping progesterone

ALSO: I normally get AF symptoms, cramping a day or so before- I do not have any, can progesterone mask these symptoms ?

I am not one to test till at least a week late- too many dissapointments this past year-

Due date based on trigger shot?

Ok Dr.Q so I know that when I go on the 7th to my appt and after other appts my due date is subject to change. I took trigger on the 12th of Oct and my period was due(maybe the 29th of Oct, it's irregular so not certain),so would my due date be July 7th then? Ovulation after Ovidrel is like 36hrs later right? I know this is a silly question, but I'm just curious Doctor Q!

Due date go by last period or ovulation??

I know typically they base your due date by your last period, but i've heard a lot of you mention that when you got your 1st early ultrasound, it turned out you were a little less along than you thought, and that it was probably b/c you ovulated later, being on Clomid.

Well i was on Clomid when i got pregnant, and go for my 7 wk/2day U/S next monday. Is there any chance of them telling me i'm only 6 wks/2 days along since i ovulated on day 16 instead of 14?

Due date if ovulated late?

I got a positive pregnancy test when I was 19 days late (September 26th). The 3 previous tests were negative and I quit testing after 10 days late thinking I was just gonna skip this month. The date of my LMP was August 12th and I should have started my period around September 7th, as I have a 27 day cycle. I was taking OPK's and I usually get a positive OPK around CD 15. However, this month, it never quite turned positive. It got dark, but never as dark or darker than the control line. So, I'm not sure that I ovulated at this time. Hubby and I had sex on September 7th, but no other day that week. I had a lot of pressure as if my period was coming, but then nothing. My breasts started hurting about a week later and I still have no signs of nausea (which I had at 6 weeks with my last pregnancy). If I ovulated late, around the time that I should have started my period, how do I calculate my due date? When do you think it would be?

Dr. Q: Calculation of Due Date

Is the reason why some doctors use the LMP to calculate the estimated due date because most women do not know when ovulation/conception occurs? And if you do know your ovulation/conception date is it better to just add two weeks to this?
