DR.-Stopping progesterone after IUI & BFN?

I had an IUI 2 weeks ago yesterday and then again on Sat, so today is 14dpiui. I did hpt this morning and it was a BFN. I'm on crinone and have never gotten AF when on progesterone. I have had some cramping on and off but today they are pretty much gone. My doc is closed for the weekend and we have no set plans on a blood test. Did the IUIs with an ob/gyn this time. I was thinking of testing again in the am, 15dpiui and if it is still a bfn I would stop the crinone and let the cycle begin. I'm also curious if one does stop the progesterone and is actually pregnant AF just wouldn't come and if body can hold onto the prenancy w/o the progesterone all should be ok, right? Wondering what your thoughts are? THANKS so much!!!

DOCTORS? CRINONE GEL USAGE AFTER OVULATION

So I am wondering since I seem to have a history of "thin endometrium lining".. When I did IUI in July 4.5mm on Insemination day and IVF yielded a lining of 7mm both failed cycles...Although my RE says my lining is fine and is always trilaminar...

I will ovulate in the next day or so(opk's) and we have been having regular intercourse. I have read that Crinone is a Progesterone vaginal gel that belongs to the class of medications called progestins. It helps to prepare the uterus lining so that a fertilized egg can be implanted and to maintain a pregnancy once a fertilized egg has been implanted.

If I start using Crinone (left over from my failed IVF) after ovulation, will it help my lining better accept an egg if infact we catch it?

Please Advise.. Thanks Caryn

Use for Crinone Gel...

So I am wondering since I seem to have a history of "thin endometrium lining".. When I did IUI in July 4.5mm on Insemination day and IVF yielded a lining of 7mm both failed cycles...

I am not doing anything this month,(as far as invasive measures) however know I will ovulate in the next day or so(opk's) and we have been having regular intercourse. I am wondering if I start using my left over Crinone Gel( I have 18 inserts left from my IVF... if that will help my lining in the event we catch the egg-

**Also how many millimeters does the lining grow before ovulation??

Oppinions welcome.. thanks

im a lil confused about what my RE's doing?

i was on clomid for 7mths with my previous doc without any success. so im now seeing an RE and he is giving me femara and doing IUI this. he told me after my hsg that he would do injections bc i was on clomid for so long without success. well i called the online pharmacy he called in femara and novadrel(spelling?)hcg and some sort of gel(not sure what kind).

anyway, my question is why would he give me femara when ive already been on clomid for 7mths? this is my first iui...will this increase my chances with the femara?

thanks

Ok, so I'm on progesterone shots til the 27th (at least). My poor butt is soo sore both sides that I have huge welts. My question is...with my muscles being that tight, is my body going to absorb the progesterone properly?

Thanks!

Crinone and pregnancy testing

Hello Dr. Q.

I am on Crinone and took a HPT this am and got a BFN. Today is either 12 or 13dpo, I can go in for blood test tomorrow. Crinone would not cause a false negative would it?

Since I won't get a period while on Crinone have you heard of one having AF cramps when on Crinone? Thanks so much!!

Progesterone and pregnacy

Hello again :O)

I have my progesterone test scheduled for Thursday, one week after IUI. I'm pretty sure this test determines if ovulation occured, right? I was wondering if this test can also determine if one might be preggo. I guess if it is really high one might assume a BFP might be around the corner. My cd21 level was 18.1 so can I use that as a guide? I'm now taking Crinone support so my reading will probably be higher anyway right?
