I'm planning to undergo an IUI in December. I just checked with my insurance and they said that they do not cover IUI, IVF etc.

To put it in their words, the insurance that I have is to "diagnose, treat but not bypass" and by bypass they mean IUI, IVF etc.,

Now if I decide to go ahead with IUI and pay out of my own pockets, how much max should I expect to pay for one time insemination?

I know I am kind of young for parenthod, but I have always wanted to be younger when I had a child. I'm scared that I am not going to be able to have children. I know I dont ovulate like I should, how much would a fertility drug cost me?

I was wondering here in california what is the average cost we do not have insurance that would cover it what so ever, but I wanted to see what is the whole process will I have to have blood test before actually starting the IUI I wanted more less a total cost with injections/ ultrasounds and everything if you are able to give me an estimate. and just a breakdown of the process before IUI

Hi Ladies and Dr Q,

Do you have to have all the expensive tests or can you just ask for Clomid? My doctor acts like we have to do all the expensive tests first before we can even consider clomid. My insurance covers nothing! Thanks!

My Dr thinks if I don't conceive this moth we should move to IUI w/ hGS shots. Im all for it, but my new insurance does NOT cover any infertility procedures, medications yes but not procedures. How much does this usually cost?

Ok, so we originally had $15,000 inf coverage. Now its down to $9500 left. This month we are doing injectables/clomid/iui and will use $3000 roughly for that. So..we had planned on moving to ivf right away. Which at my clinic is $15,000. So I need to come up with the other $9000 to do so. So...if you were in my shoes...unexplained secondary inf..had a chemical 5 months ago...would you do two more shots of minimal stimulation with iui...then pay all the $15,000 for ivf out of pocket if iui doesn't work...or would you move right to ivf next month and shell out the $9000?

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated...of course will be asking my doc next wk his thoughts. Does anyone know if clinics generally accept credit cards and / or payment plans? We have some of the $9000, but not all.

yesterday i posted my bfn, fsh being high. i asked if you taught i should try another round of high dose follistim or egg donation. you suggested egg donation and we are leaning toward that option. my question is my RE cost is $25grand does that seem about average or to high?

If any of yall are like me and were going to like CVS or somewhere to get Clomid and whatever else, well I just saw a commerical on TV about Walmarts Prescriptions being cheaper, so I just called, and guess what I was paying 21 at CVS and now im going to be paying 9 dollars at WalMart for Clomid 50mgs for 5 tablets, so if its 100mgs of course its 18 bucks.

Im in shock still, but soo happy I called, because thats where im going from now on.

Just thought I would let you ladies know, gotta save money where we can you know!

I don't want ivf, just a run of tests on me and my dh. I have insurance, but I'm sure it won't cover. I have already had tests for immunity disorders. They took like four tubes of blood after my 2nd m/c to test for lupus and protein stuff. I think it's hormones. I had two healthy pregancies when I was younger!

After much consideration, it seems as though the success rate of doing Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in conjunction with IVF is much higher than getting his vasectomy reversed..how much would this whole process cost, on average?
