Concerns

I am an 18 year old female who recently got engaged. I got my first period when I was 15ish. The thing is, that was the only "natural" period I had. I had another one when I was 16 or so. I went a whole year and then some with out a natural period. I finally went to my family doctor and they couldn't give me an exact answer, but did put my on birth control. Here's the odd thing. If I take my birth control, I get a period, if I don't take it, I dont have one. I just want to know if I can still have kids even though I am no longer on BC and still not having any periods

Concerns About Provera

Happy New Year to you all!!

I was hoping that someone could explain the side effects of taking Provera to me. My cycles are very irregular so I assume my doctor will want to give put me on Provera to regulate my cycles, but I am really nervous about taking fertility drugs. Especially after reading things like this...

You should never take Provera during the first 4 months of pregnancy. During this formative period, even a few days of treatment with Provera might put your unborn baby at increased risk for birth defects. If you take Provera and later discover that you were pregnant when you took it, discuss this with your doctor right away.

I would love to hear your Provera stories good and bad, so I can make a more informed decision about what to do.

Many Thanks and ****Baby Dust**** to all!
