Conception after the implant ?

Hi, I will be having my implant removed next month. I was just curious whether anyone else has had it removed and if so how long did it take you to become pregnant?

My partner & I are trying for our first child in December.

High FSH Levels on Day 2

I have just received news that I have FSH levels of 21 on day 2 of my cycle. My results are going to be sent to a specialist to look at for further opinion.

Is this going to be a major issue - I am only 29.

We have been trying for about 2 years now...

What are the effects of smoking and coffee??

Hello,

My other half and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now and nothing has happened. I have had a number of blood tests done and we are waiting for him to be tested by our Doctor.

However, in the meantime I wanted to know whether the following would have a significant affect on our chances of conceiving naturally:

1. I smoke on average 3 - 10 cigarettes per day

2. He smokes on average around 15 cigarettes per day

3. I drink about 6 cups of coffee per day

4. He drinks about 10 cups of coffee per day.

I am 29 and my partner is 48 with three children from a previous relationship (aged 18, 16 and 3).

I am aware of some of the problems with conception and smoking and have decided to stop completely as from today (as has my partner). I haven't had a cup of coffee for three days now in an attempt to cut right down.

I look forward to hearing from you.

How would a consistently low blood platelett count effect conception?

My partner and I have been trying for a year or so with no success. My doctor has taken two or three sets of bloods and says that my blood platelett count is consistently low and that it needs further investigation. Could this be a reason why we have not be successful to date?

Do I have a problem if I've had 2 miscarriages in a row, and no successful pregnancies?

Both m/c's were very early, 6 1/2 wks or earlier. I haven't had any extensive testing done, and was wondering if I should, or if there are any treatments that I should consider. It also seems to take about a year before I am even able to conceive.

Memoir

Most people, especially women, want children. That's why they will relate to Getting To Mommy. It's a reconstructed diary of people, places and events, beginning with a later-in-life marriage and inability to conceive a child at first and then, after coming to terms with the possibility of never becoming a parent, beating incredible odds and giving birth to a daughter at the age of forty-three. Getting To Mommy deals primarily with the reactions and reflections of the author and others to situations which are both conventional, and yet at the same time extraordinary.

Polyps/low sperm count/ and pregnancy.

In March of this year i had learned that I had a polyp in my uterus. We schduled the hystorcopy and removed that one but found out it was on the base of my fallopean tube. So the doctor did a xray to see if the tubes themselves were blocked. Low and behold two more little intrusions in my reproductive tract. On June 29 2009 I had those removed successfully as well. My husband and I have been trying for a baby for 8 years and finally went to an RE this year. Well on July 24 2009 I found out that I am indeed pregnant. Only one week after my procedure my little bean was conceived. I am in shock and awe on how quickly we got results, and worried at the same time. My progesterone level was low and I began Prometrium three times a day. Last weeks reading was 36.8 which was great. This weeks dropped to 28.5 which causes me concern. They upped my prometrium to 4 times a day. I have my fist OB appointment today and I am hoping that this will ease some of my worries. But, At lease now I know that I can get pregnant. This being my first positive pregnancy ever! I am praying for a full term healthy baby. And More to add to my amazing success story. Only days before beginning clomid and gonal f along with a sperm donar my husband and i mangaed to conceive.

I have been trying to conceive for just over a year. We have had some test done and all appears fine - just not happening. I have started using OPKs for this cycle and wondered if I should be charting BBT too?

Conception Date EDD July 28th, 2009

Just getting a different opnion on this subject. I know that its not possible to get your conception date right on the money but my Dr. Told me my conception date would have been around 10/3108 - 11/08/08? Not to get personal but I made the foolish mistake of sleeping with 2 men one in early, mid Oct and the other in Nov. Paternity test is in order but just looking again for a 2nd opnion. Thank you!

Could I be experiencing implantation? Cramping & pink discharge...

At 5 dpo I started having mild cramping in the evening, off & on the next day, and then again today. Also today I had pink discharge when I used the restroom. My question is this: Has anyone else had this occur and then received a pos hpt a week later? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part (We've been ttc for 2 years)? I've been charting bbt and my temps hovered around 97.8 for 3 dpo then when cramping started they jumped to 98.3 and above. (From cd 4 to cd 14 my bbt averaged 97.3)

Comments and personal stories welcomed!!

what should I ask at the OB-GYN for pre-conception advice? My first visit

My husband and I are trying to conceive, we have been trying for about a year and no luck. We’ve tried ovulation test and have intercourse everyday I am fertile and ovulate. I have probably read every book there is to read and every web site I can find to help my odds and get in the best shape for conceiving. I keep track of my periods and ovulation. I made an apptment for a preconception appointment with the ob-gyn and I’m a little nervous, what information should I take, what are they going to ask, what are they going to do, and is it ok to be nervous to see the ob-gyn. I would also like to get my husbands sperm count checked were would he go to have that done. Thanks

A sharp pain near my ovaries while trying to conceive?

My husband and I have be TTC for about 2 months now. I am wondering if I am experiencing implantation because I have never felt this pain before. It is like a sharp, pain on one side near/in my uterus. I feel like I can pin-point the pain and it is seriously in 1 spot. Could this be implantation? I have been nauseous during this time, extremely tired, and very "burpy"... Please help!

can you get a negative with an early HPT but still be pregnant?

Hi

I am now 7dpo, i am experiencing sore breast and have been feeling a little dizzy. I understand that it can sometimes just be in your head, but definitely have sore breast. I know its still really early but i bought some early pregnancy tests last month which can detect pregancy 7-10 days after conception, i took one this morning and was negative. I intend to do another one sunday. It may sound silly but just wondered if anyone has done this before and ended up pregnant? Would be nice to hear other peoples stories and any advice. Hoping there is still a chance i have concieved.

Thank you
