Bella's Journey

Hey everyone! Well my husband and I haven't been trying too long, just 12 months... but it has still be heartbreaking every month to get a negative HPT. We are very hopeful and know that when God wants us to have this child we will. In this past year I have had a slew of friends get pregnant and have their babies. As hard as it is to see them and their little miracles, I have felt genuinely happy for them. I just recently had my HCG done and will be testing in just a few short days since my period is 4 days late. Keep me in prayer that this month be the month! I will keep you posted as my journey starts to unravel!

Desperately trying for baby #1

Hi Doctors and Ladies out there, I just wanted to know weather having intercourse every other day will help in conceiving? I’ve been trying for 7 months now and I’m starting to get a little depressed with it all. I’ve tried using ovulation detecting strips and I’ve tried the counting day thing, and I have also tried the temperature thing as well, I am SO exhausted, and I feel like giving up but I really want a baby, I guess I crave being a mom!!!! however I never thought it would take me SO long, does anyone out there have anything else to try, oh and I’ve just stared to try the saliva tester but it keeps furning so I guess that’s not going to work for me either.

Please help me ladies I’m desperately trying for baby #1, I’m starting to think I’m not able to conceive I’m 31, never been pregnant before does that mean if I never have been pregnant that its probably because I probably cant? i've been off birth control for about 2 years now but thought we would start trying in the last 7 months.

Waiting & hopeful for our June 2009 baby?!?!?

I'll be 11 dpo tomorrow and I have to admit...I took a preg. test & it was negative. I know this could be a result of taking this test to soon, was the wait is killing me. After us using the ovulation testing...we are hoping we got this right. I'm showing signs like I did back in March when I was pregnant. Not sure why but even at 6 weeks, I was already looking into maternity clothes and had a belly...my girlfriend next door told me, "oh, you're one of those that shows" *giggles* We have been trying since our loss in April and failed each time, only using calendars, charts, etc. but I broke down and purchased an ovulation test and I'm pretty sure we did this right. But now the wait & wondering again, is this preg. symptoms or period symptons, I have a bump, that's not going away, very mild cramping or an uncomfortable feeling on 1 side. Mild nausea, moody, tired, and last night we noticed my BB's with blue veins, made jokes about a road map, cause that's how they look. No tonight I'm noticing some discomfort with BB's. For some reason I have this "YES I'm PG Feeling" Does anyone else know & understand what I'm feeling and going through...and is any else close to me in timing...maybe we can go through this together!!

Desperately trying to conceive HELP!!

Hi Ladies, I have a silly question to ask, how accurate is a pregnancy test done at home? Will all pregnancy tests show a pos or neg every time on your due date? I’m told that some women don’t produce enough hormone for sometime, is this true? And how many days / weeks will it take for some women to produce enough hormone for a home pregnancy test to pic up?

If it takes a long time to produce the pregnancy hormone, does this mean that its not going to be a successful pregnancy?

when did I get pregnant?

I was wondering how accurate ovulation kits where. My cycle is normally 32 days with day 16, 17 as my ovulation day based on last two months. This time my cycle came in 36 days and I got a positive on my 20th and 21st day. I am using clomid for my PCOS. My due date is may 20th based on ultra sound and it looks like I conceived around the 28th August. My LMP date is May 14th I was wondering if I got a positive sign for ovulation on the 25th when would have been the best time to have conceived? I was baby dusting on the 15th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, and the 26th. I would like to know what day it was since I have been tracking and taking meds for three years for this moment. I thought I might have conceived on the night of the 26th but after getting t dates from the doctor I’m not sure if I go off the ultra sound, LMP or my ovulation kit. I would like to say I know the night it finally happened.

"Shettles Method"

So if anyone does not know what the Shettles Method is, it is a way to ensure you have the gender you desire when trying to conceive.. To have a girl you should bd 2-3 before ovulation, since the girl sperm (x) is slower swimmers and live longer. So once you ovulate, the boy sperm will have already been there, and died off and the girls are all thats left..

To have a boy, BD on the day of ov. to see that the boys will get there first..

I was going to try this method this time and try for a girl, as I have 2 boys and know I conceive on day of +opk.. But, I believe I ovulated 2 days early (didn't test this time) based on other symptoms, cramping and "egg white" dishcharge, and the day after there was nothing... So I think we bd right on ov. day again which makes me think this baby (11 weeks today) is another boy...

My question is that did anyone out there have a girl and bd on ov day or if u think it was days before ov?? I know there is a 50/50 chance, but my husband has 3 boys and 0 girls.. So I think for some reason it would be harder for us to have a girl.. Does that sound crazy..

Cyst ruptured & PERIOD????

okay well i commented bk to Dr. Eva when she stated that if my cyst ruptured i should be getting a period soon. Well i went to hosp sept 10 & 16th. From both visits doc concluded i was not preg & i had a possible acute ruptured cyst due to free-filled fluid in my ab. MY LMP was July 9. Well after i was released on the 17th (b/c they didnt finish til 6am) & got home my period came, OR SO I THOUGHT! I say this b/c I bled HEAVY HEAVY & had CLOTS & CRAMPED really BAD for 2 days, but when i woke today, Sept 19th, there was nothing. Could that have been a reaction to the rupturing or could i have had some type of ectopic, chemical, tube, or some type of pregnancy & it just wasnt showing up? Why did i bleed HEAVY for just 2 days? I did have all signs of preg (fatigue, slight nausea, weight in hip area, perky nipples, craving ice cream & bagels, bloat, minor cramps for like 5 weeks) but hpt & hosp urine said neg, I dont get it. When i get pelvic exam do i need to ask doc to check tubes & ovulation or should they be able to tell on their own when they check me? Please Help!!!

Soon to be trying to get pregnant

My boyfriend and I will probably be trying to get pregnant within the next 6 months. I would love to be pregnant now... :) Anyways, I have been on birth control since I was 17 years old. We had went out of town on the 6 and 7 of Sept. and forgot to bring my pills, so I skipped 2 and we had intercourse, so its been about 10 days and Im not due for my period for a week, and Im spotting. But the blood looks different than period blood. Could I have gotten pregnant? Would I be able to tell with a test at this early stage?

Infertility

my husband and I have been trying for 2 years. I was on the pill for about 8 years. My cycle varies from 32 - 38 days.

He has been tested and all ok

I've had blood tests but dont ovualte everytime. My temp charts all have rises up to high 36. We have sex regularly. My docotor did a internal and said everything seemed ok.

I have had hormone imbalances in the past, and when I was younger I would get a very sore groin every couple of months when I "think" I may have been ovualting - sometimes I couldnt walk for a day or two.

what could my condition be put down too? if I do ovulate could I have bad eggs?

What are the odds of having another baby?

I have miscarried 5 times and carried one. (So I have been pregnant 6 times.) One of my miscarriages was a tubal and the doctor removed my left fillopian tube. I still have both ovaries and my right fillopian tube. The doctor told me after the tubal that my 'female parts' look great and that I am fully able to get pregnant and carry children. I don't think I can have another child, but my doctor says otherwise. I just miscarried my fifth baby last week. My husband and I have been together for 8 years and have never used a condom. We thought that his sperm was broken, for lack of a better term, but now I think it's me not being able to carry a child. My grandmother had 6 kids with 3 miscarriages so she should have had 9 kids. My aunt lost one when she was 8 months along. So I guess it kind of runs in the family. My monthly periods are hell for me. I bleed alot with alot of pain. I have had tests done to see if I have endemitriosis, cysts, or anything else that can be causing this and all the tests come out fine. Do you think that I am or am not able to conceive again and carry full term?

Trying to Conceive

Me and my husband have been ttc for over a year now. My doctor referred me to a fertility specialist. We got so excited and hopeful, but when we found out how much the treatments cost, we decided we had to wait. (my insurance does not cover infertility treaments)

I've had irregular periods since I can remember, and that's the only thing wrong with me. I am on Provera for this month, so far so good. What could be my next step after Provera? Do you recommend fertility meds like FertilityAid and FertilityBlend? Please help!

Trying to conceive for 4 months

Hi,I am 28 yrs old and my husband is 33 yrs old.For five years we used condoms when having sex.Now from 4 months, we are trying to conceive.Pregnancy tests result is negative.I am worrying so much. How long we have to try, before we see a doctor. My menstrual cycle is 29 days long and very regular.I have a doubt...Before we tried to conceive, for 1 month continuously I used pain relievers for my back pain. May this affect my ovulation? Will that is the reason I am not getting pregnant? If so, What medication I have to take? Pls suggest me. How long we have to try to conceive?

Ovulation

If I was using an OPK and got a positive mid-day last Tuesday, when will I beable to test? I am on cycle day 30. Tomorrow will be 31 and still no period but I ovulated late in my cycle so would it be too early to test for pregnancy?

Trying to conceive and having weird symptoms

I am 25 years old. I had my first child at 19 who is now 5. So its been a while since I experienced the pregnancy signs. However, my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 8 months now with no luck. It took me 1 year and 6 months to get pregnant with my daughter. Every month we are hopeful with no luck. However, I just got off my period 2 1/2 weeks ago and have started having weird symptoms. They include, really bad mood swings (happy, mad, crying and never knowing which one at which time is going to come out), urinating a lot more frequently, cramping as tho I am fixing to start my period (I have actually went to the bathroom on several different occasions thinking I had started again), chills, queasy feeling off and on, I can't get enough sleep.. I know there is something going on with me because this is not normal for me. I am just wondering could it be pregnancy? I have never experienced these signs before. Please help thank you

Vitex to get pregnant?

i have read in several places on the internet as well as talked to people that say Vitex can be taken as a supplement in order to help increase your chances of getting pregnant. i was told it is especially helpful for women who have erratic periods. is this true? and if not what exactly is it used for. also is there anything recommended for women who are trying to conceive? sorry this was so long.

So I finally got my period but...?

So for those of you who have been helping me thanks so much! I got my period after 8 months of no period post baby! Yay! We want to try again right away now cause it took us awhile with our first. But, I got my period on Aug. 6th and still have not ovulated...I have been using the ovulation sticks since the day after my period ended. Do you think I will not ovulate this month or should I keep using the sticks? Is it common not to ovulate your first few cycles after nursing?
