Blood Clot In The Uterus While Pregnant

I went today to get what I thought would be my 16 week u/s. The baby ended up measuring at 11.5 weeks. The tech found a blood clot in my uterus on the right side of my cervix. My cervix is closed and the lining is thick. My question is, how am I supposed to pass this clot if my cervix is closed? What threat does this pose for m/c?

Blood Clots

I am in the middle of my menstrual cycle and yesterday and today I have been passing blood clots. They range in sizes the biggest was marble size. I am trying to conceive my first child and I have PCOS and I was wondering if blood clots were a good sign or a bad sign. Thank you.

Threatened pregnancy

I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been spotting since Monday a few hours past my first prenatal exam. At first it was just brown spotting, then it turned into bright pink-red. I went to the ER, as it was very late. They did blood test and a transvaginal ultrasound. While she did the ultrasound, I asked her if my baby was alive, and she responded it may be too early to tell. She showed me where the gestational sac was, but she never mentioned a heartbeat. Immediately after the ultrasound I passed several tiny clots, and am still passing clots today. I can't see my Dr. untill Monday, so I am very nervous and scared. What are my chances of this being a healthy successful pregnancy after my results last night?

Blood clots during cycle.

Hi, since being on this website I have learned that blood clots can cause problems. I never really realized that I had them as I thought it was just the way the lining shed. I have blood clots that range from pea to marble sized.

I also have long cycles with long AF. For example I am still spotting today on CD8.

Is this something I need to be worried about and discuss with my doctor? I have been TTC for 14 months now with no luck.

I finally saw the Dr today!

Ok, so I've been bleeding since April 25th and have put off seeing the Dr because we don't have insurance and I had convinced myself it would just stop any day. That never happened and I passed a huge clot today (it was over 3 inches). I've also been really tired and dizzy lately so off I went to be checked. The bad (and obvious) thing is that I'm anemic. The good thing is that the bleeding is simply from a hormone inbalance. Luckily it wasn't fibroids or a prolonged miscarriage. The Dr is putting me on birth control. He wants me to stay on it for a couple years and give my body time to really regulate my cycles. Since Asher's really going to be needing some extra love and attention due to his autistic tendencies we're ok with waiting on the ttc for a long while. Someday we do hope to give him a sibling...or two...or three...maybe even four:)

Question about menses

Unfortunately I started my period on 6/21. I was really hopeful b/c she was to be here on the 18th. On Sunday, there was spotting and by 6am Monday, af was full force. But anyway, do you start counting your cycle when you first see spotting or is it by the first full flow? And also, Tuesday I passed 2 clots or mucus the size of 2 half dollars combined. Never passed one that big during menses. Does the size mean anything or should sound any alarms?

implantation bleeding or AF??

I've been on clomid now for 3 months. My cycle is 28 days, and I'm very regular.

1st round of clomid (50mg) started periods 3 days before actual date. Period lasted 4 days

2nd round of clomid (100mg) started periods 9 days early, and again for 4 days.

3rd round of clomid (100mg) 5 days late and just started spotting (a little red/pink) this morning. But tonight i sneazed (you know achoo) and more came out but clotty (stringny like)..I doesn't like good? right. I've had the cramping in the lower abdominal, frequent visit to the washrooms (like every hour..) weird nausea (to smells and coffee). I went for some bloodwork today i should get the results tomorrow, but i think it's really just AF. But my body is telling me otherwise. Maybe i'm just going crazy..

I had the bleeding with my first child (but that was 8 yrs ago), and my dr sent me for ultrasound. It was because I had endometriosis, but that's been taken care of (laporoscopy)..

Aspirin

I have chronic hbp. I am almost 39, want to have a baby I take lobetalol 400mg. 2x a day, and Procardia 30mg. 1x a day. I m/c twins in 2002. In April I delivered a stillborn at 23 weeks, as a result of an infection. I have no other children. They told me that there was also evidence of a blood clot, and that my baby was smaller than she should have been because of it. During the early part of the pregnancy, 6 weeks, I passed 3 clots and thought I was losing the baby. A sono showed she was fine. Recently I came across some info that low dose or baby aspirin can help women with chronic hbp during their pregnancies to help resist clotting, and may even help those trying to conceive because it stimulates the ovaries to release more eggs. Is this true and should I mention this to my doctor?
