The path of becoming pergnant

Hello ladies and Doctors,

I've been having many conversations with my doctor about getting pregnant, basically what I have gotten so far is to start testing my ovulation cycle with the OPKs. I would like to know if there's a way to know "medically" of course, to see if your body is ready to bear a child. I have never seriously tried to become pregnant and I'm 29, getting a bit antsy now.

I have been diagnosed with fibroids and small cysts in the past and I get my paps regularly. I'm in good health condition, but I would like to know if I'm able to have children, if I need to get my tubes' cleaned. I have read so much stuff that is just gets really confusing and my doctor will not support me in my pursue of these answers. Is there some sort of test my doctor can perform? Everytime I ask him he wants to get me on birth control and that really dissapoints me :(

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Colon Cleanse while TTC

I am hoping to do an herbal colon cleanse this week and I am curious if there is any issue when TTC. I heard it is not recommended while pregnant. I am on Clomid if that matters in the equation.
