I have a feeling that this might be the month!!!!

After trying for over a year and a half (with one miscarriage) i think this maybe my month. i dont know why but I have a good feeling about this month. This is my second cycle of chlomid and the cramps that the girls on this group told me were ovulation (which I proved by taking a test) were very painful. So i am wishing luck to everyone out there who is trying to get pregnant as well as myself... it is so frustrating but the girls on this web site are great and seem so happy when ever someone reaches a milestone. Reading other's success stories always makes me so happy and thats why I guess I come on everynight - to see if someone else has finally had their wish granted. Good luck to all!!

my frustrating journey

My husband and I have two kids. When we got married we decided that since we both come from big families we want to have a big family ourselves. With both of my kids I got pregnant within a month of trying. Then we wanted another one and this has been the roller coaster of my life. We started trying a year ago. My two best friends started the same month and both got pregnant within a month (a week apart) a month later my sister-in-law called me crying because she found out she was pregnant and wasnt sure that she wanted a baby just yet. (She changed her mind within three months)About 5 weeks after she got pregnant I had a positive pregnancy test. My husband and I usually don't tell anyone for three months but I was so excited I told all of my friends. A week later my friend and I were crossing the road with her daughter who decided to lift her legs up and swing. I almost went down with her. 5 seconds later the cramps began and the next day I started bleeding. I cried all the way to the doctor - who wasnt there and his nurse took a blood test. I kept trying to convince everyone that it would be okay and that i was still pregnant (myself too) The next day when I went to the doc and walked into the room without looking at my chart - except the blood test - and said "congrats your preganant" then I reminded him of the bleeding and he apologized and told me that I had lost the baby. So now its been a over a year since then - my sister in law and best friends have all had their babies. I went to see a fertility doctor who put me on chlomid and something else for discharge coming out of my right breast. I just finished my first cycle and my period is due any day. I took a pregnancy test but it came out negative. My doctor could not find anything wrong other then my ovaries being a little small. So here is wishing. This website seems amazing and I love hearing the women find out they are pregnant after waiting so long. So here is to good luck and good news for all this month!

Low sperm count

Thanks for your answer about irregular periods. I forgot to mention that my husband has a low sperm count. He's had it tested at the lab. Is chlomid a good drug to help boost his sperm count and increase our chances of getting pregnant. I'd never heard it prescribed for a man before...only women.

Question regarding BBT

Hello Dr. Q

Till I entered my temp yesterday morning my ovulation day was predicted as 29th Sep on the BBT chart. After entering my temp yesterday it moved the ovulation date to Oct 1st.

There was a note saying that "While ovulation has been detected on your chart, the progesterone supplement that you are taking may also be the cause of your thermal shift".

I am totally confused with this. I got positive Opk on 29th sep and when I checked again on Oct 1st it was negative.

Which one should i consider as my ovulation date?

Did I ovulate or because of the prometrium was there a thermal shift?

Additional Details:

Finished Chlomid 150 Mg , Started Prometrium 200mg from oct 1st

Here is the link to the chart.

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1c42d3

Chlomid & Prometrium

Hello DR.Q,

I finished my second round chlomid 150 mg. According to BBT I ovulated on 29th of Sep. I started taking Prometrium 200 Mg from yesterday. I took the pill in the morning and in the evening I felt like I was falling down/ dizziness. It was like 15 minutes. What is the reason for this? Should i continue prometrium? Is it ok if i take Prometrium 2 days after ovulation?

Chlomid

Hello Dr,

I finished first round of Chlomid 100 Mg last month. I ovulated but I did not get pregnant. I got my periods on 15th of this month ,I am supposed to take Chlomid today and my doctor gave 150 mg for this round. Do you think Is it a high dose because I ovulated with 100 Mg last month. If I take 150 mg are there more chances to get pregnant?

Is it safe if i take 150 mg? Please advice.

chlomid, estridol. yeast

dear doc, i hope you can clear this doubt for me..my doctor prescribed chlomid 50 mg and estridol since i told her im not seeing the EWCM even though iam ovulating. I hope this estridol will make the CM easy for the sperm. Or will it harm the sperm?

Secondly, I mentioned earlier that I get this itchy feeling with milky white discharge 1 week after ovulation for about 3 days and it goes by itself. I had the symptoms last week for about 3 days, but now last 2 days i am fine. no itching, discharge, etc. Now my question is will this affect my chances of getting pregnent next cycle? I seem to get the itchy feeling only 1 week after ovulation ( probably because of all the intercourse?)

When did getting pregnent get so difficult? :(

Chlomid 100 Mg

HI DR,I hav Pco and TTc since 1 year. My doc gave me provera and clomid 100 mg last month. I took clomid from cd 3-7. I got positive Opk on cd 19 ,20 ,21 and we had sex before on cd 18 and on these 3 days. Today also I have a faint line on OPK.Do I need to do sex today also?

Also because of chlomid my vagina is very dry and dont have EWCM, So is there any difficulty for the sperm to reach the egg in this situation.

I have read in a site that its difficult to conceive if there is no EWCM during sex.

What are my chances to get conceived. Any advice please

What is considered a normal cycle on Chlomid?

Hi!

I am 33 years old. I am on my third cycle of Chlomid (days 5 to 9)..the first one, I got my period on day 34..the second, like 50! Now, I am day 33 in my third cycle, (now, 100mg)and spotting a liiittle bit..hopefully,implantation bleeding...my breasts are sore, and I am very moody...this third time,we tried with an ovulation kit, and peaked on days 18 and 19..I wanted to know, how long should my cycle be with chlomid? Is there an average number of days that your cycle should last when on Chlomid? I dont know how many days to wait for a pregnancy test, since I am soo irregular...Thanks a million for "listening"...T.

Chlomid or Follistim

Hi dr.Q.

Unfortunately my PC seems to be playing games, or I don't know the reason my couple of last questions haven't been answered. Hope I don't bug you too much, lol.

Well as I wrote I started my first round of Chlomid this month. My doc pot me on the smallest dose--50.I asked you in my previous question about one very silly and maybe crucial mistake I have done. Basically, I confused my period starting date and started Chlomid on day 2 of my full flow period (day one I had a flow but kinda brownish). So, the question is how serious this mistake can be? Will it bring any serios problem? Basically I was supposed to take it days 3-7 (and it turned out 2-6). On the first day I felt very bad hot flashes, and then I was just pretty nervous and had mood-swings as a crazy girl. Now I am on day 9 of my cycle and experience just some moody things. On Saturday (day 11 of the cycle) I have an app at the doc's for estrogen blood work and ultrasound. In the psitive scenario what should it be that day? And by that time should they be able to tell if Chlomid worked for me?

One more thing-- will it be better if they recommend using OPK or daily ultrasounds for catching the right moment for IUI? We were told that IUI would be made twice with 24 hours difference, that is supposively increases chanced of conceiving. Is it so?

And as I tagged my question, what kind of medication is Follistim? What is the main difference between Chlomid and Follistim? How much more expensive is it? And why don't docs use that one first if it is a better medicine?

Sorry for so many questions. But I am pretty excited about everything these days. Please, answer my questions and wish us luck with IUI.
