Chlomid or Follistim

Hi dr.Q.

Unfortunately my PC seems to be playing games, or I don't know the reason my couple of last questions haven't been answered. Hope I don't bug you too much, lol.

Well as I wrote I started my first round of Chlomid this month. My doc pot me on the smallest dose--50.I asked you in my previous question about one very silly and maybe crucial mistake I have done. Basically, I confused my period starting date and started Chlomid on day 2 of my full flow period (day one I had a flow but kinda brownish). So, the question is how serious this mistake can be? Will it bring any serios problem? Basically I was supposed to take it days 3-7 (and it turned out 2-6). On the first day I felt very bad hot flashes, and then I was just pretty nervous and had mood-swings as a crazy girl. Now I am on day 9 of my cycle and experience just some moody things. On Saturday (day 11 of the cycle) I have an app at the doc's for estrogen blood work and ultrasound. In the psitive scenario what should it be that day? And by that time should they be able to tell if Chlomid worked for me?

One more thing-- will it be better if they recommend using OPK or daily ultrasounds for catching the right moment for IUI? We were told that IUI would be made twice with 24 hours difference, that is supposively increases chanced of conceiving. Is it so?

And as I tagged my question, what kind of medication is Follistim? What is the main difference between Chlomid and Follistim? How much more expensive is it? And why don't docs use that one first if it is a better medicine?

Sorry for so many questions. But I am pretty excited about everything these days. Please, answer my questions and wish us luck with IUI.
