Confused about what is happening!

Hello!

I'm 25 years old and my husband (he's 28) and I have been trying to conceive since March this year. I came off the pill (monofeme 28) at the beginning of February.

I tried doing the CM thing but I could never be sure if it was my fluid or his (!) and the temp charting never really made any pattern.

I also tried ovulation predictor kits but even though AF has always been like clockwork (28 days exactly) and I follow the instructions exactly, I never got the second line to show I was ovulating, so I presumed I wasn't and we just decided to try forget about it and see what, if anything, happened by itself.

AF was a week late in early August (totally unheard of for me) so I went to the Dr and had a blood test done. It came back negative.

It's now 8 days late again, (first day of last LMP was 22 July, it's now 24 September) and I have a really queasy stomach. I feel kind of sea sick and the slightest thing makes me want to throw up. This morning I even threw up water.

I have also had very light cramping on and off since AF was due in August.

I don't know whats going on. Do cycles just randomly change? Could I have gotten pregnant since mid August despite not having had AF since 22 July? Has anyone else had anything like this happen? Does it sound normal?

I just went to buy a pregnancy test on my way home but I can't find my money card! And I am so scared of getting another negative - I dont want there to be something going on with me that I don't understand

Thanks for reading this far - any ideas or help would be great :-)

- Lily

Cycle and Clomid

I finished my first round of 100mg clomid and did not ovulate. On the ovualtion monitor I was on high for 10 days then I stopped testing. I am not on day 34 of my cycle and not period. Can clomid change your cycle? I ususally have a 27-30 day cycle.

Clomid and cycle length

Dr. Q and ladies

I have noticed the past few months my cycles are getting very long (ever since I started working out at the gym 3-4 days a week)...last month was a 49 day cycle with ovulation on CD37. This month I am on CD21 with no ovulation yet but I'm sure it will happen soon (hopefully)

I had bloodwork done throughout the month of May and all hormone levels were fine. Right after that I started working out at the gym to get more toned up and to feel better, not to lose weight. Could me working out like that cause my cycles to be a little messed up? My body fat hasn't dropped that much (it didn't need to, I am around 26-27% BMI)

Would the Clomid shorten my cycles if I started taking it?...I plan on asking my OBGYN about it in Dec. at my regular appt.

I was on provera to induce a period, well I got it, but for 14 days. (14 days of bleeding)My question is will I still expect af 28 days from the day I started or will it change due to how long she was here?

Dr. Q, I'm confused :-(

I just had my 38-week prenatal appt. this morning and I was told that I'm only 1 cm and 25% effaced????? Last week, I was 2 cm and 50% effaced, then at the hospital, I was 3 cm and 50% effaced. Then this morning, I went from 3 cm to 1 cm and 25% effaced??? How could that happen?

Before anything else, there are two different doctors who see me from that clinic, and it was a different doctor who checked me last week. When she told me that I'm only 1 cm and 25% effaced, I asked he how that could be since I have been consistently 2-3 cm and 50% effaced...she said, there's no way I could be 50% effaced because my cervix still felt very thick. I was also annoyed when I asked her about having a membrane sweep possibly around 39 weeks if I wouldn't go on labor this week...she said she doesn't do that and that she will only induce at 42 weeks. The other doctor told me a total different thing. The other doctor said she can perform a membrane sweep at around 39 weeks. I also told her about my strong and painful contractions and she was just very passive about it and told me that some women just experience more painful pre-labor contractions and some of them tend to experience harder labor than normal.

I understand that different doctors have different opinions, but can their opinions really differ that much? I am so scared that I won't dilate until 42 weeks...the baby might be too big by then! I am just disappointed... :-(
