Break Through Bleeding During Luteal Phase

I hope someone can help me. Ever since I have been charting I have noticed that around 9-10 DPO I have had break through bleeding. It's always bright red blood and sometimes there is more than other months, but it is always there. I was having issues with irregular cycles (13-20 day LPs) so my doctor put me on clomid. I forgot to mention the bleeding to the doctor, but I did call his nurse. She told me that it was probably just stress causing it and that it would go away. Well it hasn't gone away and my LP is going a rye again. I'm worried that this bleeding during my LP is due to some sort of hormonal defect and that is why we aren't getting pregnant. Should I call my doctor? Is there anyway that I should specifically mention it to get him to listen to me. I feel like my doctor sometimes discounts what I say because I am not phrasing things properly.

Not ovulating, but regular periods

I have regular periods, but I have not been ovulating. I have been charting my BBT and using OPK and neither of them indicate I'm ovulating. My doctor did an ultrasound and didn't say anything about PCOS. My periods are between 32-35 days and last 2-3 days. Why would I be having regular periods, but not ovulate? Thanks in advance!

Spotting on CD 23...CONFUSED, Help

Ok,Dr.'s and Ladies: I need your help now. I'm simply baffled with my cycle this month!

Background: I have PCOS. I've been taking Metformin for about 2 months now and I take Prometrium 200 mg for part of the cycle. Last cycle was 72 days long, I think I did ovulate on CD 66 of that cycle which made for a 9 day Luteal Phase. The cycle before that one was 56 days with no ovulation at all.

Now on to THIS cycle. Today is CD 24. I don't think I ovulated yet. Last night, I started spotting and again today. (TMI warning)...It's kinda more than spotting, but not a full flow at all, not enough for a tampon or even a pad. Any ideas on what's going on? I don't know what this could mean. I know your can sometimes spot during ovulation and I also know about implantation bleeding. I don't think it's either of those things b/c like I said it's more than spotting, but it's also not a full-blown AF either. I took an HPT just in case and it was negative of course.

I'm including the link for my chart from fertilityfriend.com, please take a look. Any advice would be MOST helpful! THANKS!!!!!!

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1ef3c8

ok whats going on now?

So I'm tracking everything on a BBT chart. I'm CD 16 and I started spotting today. Not much, obviously break through bleeding because I've had no symptoms of AF and its not due until around CD 34. I know all the reasons why my body may be doing this. I'm just frustrated. WHY. I mean how hard is it to just be normal?! arrgh im annoyed. How can I learn anything from my BBT chart if my own system is too whacked out to even chart? lol

Break through bleeding

We have been TTC for 4 months and been off the pill for 9 months. Since then I have had very normal periods with cycles between 29 and 31 days. This month day 17 I noticed a little brown after I wiped and is still going on now at day 22. I goes from brown to very dark red (almost brown). I wouldn't call it spotting as it is lite but I have worn a tampon once or twice during these last few days. Had cramps for a few hours one of those days (very light) but no pain at all. What could this be? I called my doctor and am waiting for a return call.

Dr Q..

hi dr. Q..

in january i had a breakthrough bleed.. so the ending of the month i had my real af.. then on march 2 i began spotting and now it led to more.. but no red blood yet. still dark brown. like what you would have cd5.

could this be considered it as breakthrough bleeding again? (btw..i never used to have any breakthrough, i just have my af once a month)

and my real full flow hasn't begun so could i consider it as my af?

dr Q and other dr's..

how do i know when to check my opk. my cycles were about 30 days. as of last month (jan) i had a breakthrough bleed, then on jan 30 i had my af. I didn't have af in feb. when it came march 2nd i believe, i began to spot. and today is march 5 and i've still been spotting..

and i know it don't count as an af until the full flow right?

so from this, what do you guys think?

when as i suppose to check my opk's?

Please let me know.Thank you..

Earlier last month i had my af, but it wasn't that heavy and that long either. then the ending of the same month i had my af again. then from what you guys said, the first af was breakthrough bleeding. so from having that, would it throw your af off?

would my cycles be longer because i had breakthrough bleeding?

Thank you!

What's Going On Here?

I'm on CD 17 today. Usually I have a 25-28 day cycle. I'm getting almost positive OPK's and thought I ovulated a few days ago.

I just started temping again after 3 months of a temp break and yesterday it was highest it's ever been (97.32). This morning it was 96.77, which is still about where I remember it being after ovulation.

I started spotting a little bit of brown blood this morning, but when I used the restroom a few minutes ago, I was bleeding a light flow.

Why would I start my period again on CD 17? I'm angry, I'm upset, and I have no idea what is going on with me.

Dr Q-

I have heard the term "break thru bleeding" can you explain what it is, when it might occur, and is it like a period- or lighter

I had light bleeding on Oct 31 (LMP 10.1) We timed intercourse appropriatly last month I took a HPT at 14 DPO and it was neg, 2 days later (Oct 31) I started bleeding although my temp that morning was 98.2..it was not heavy, but enough to use something, it only lasted a short time, ended Nov 1 in the evening.

I just assumed it was my period, but just a few days later I experienced alot of watery discharge, and this morning I felt nausea, had diareah, and last night my breasts were uncormfortable, I would not say painful...

What do you make of this?

getting pregnant

I started my period the day after the last time my boyfriend and I had intercourse (Aug. 12)...and now I'm experiencing many pregnancy symptoms. My next period was 2 weeks early and only lasted 2 1/2 days. I again started my period around 5 a.m. on Friday morning, but it's already gone (it's Saturday night). I took a home pregnancy test and it was faulty, so I'm going to retake with another one. Is it possible that I could still be pregnant even though I started my period the day after we had intercourse?

breakthrough bleeding

I'm 28 years old and most recently I was on nuva ring for 13 months. I went off of it in april 2007 and started to try to conceive our second child. I've never had breakthrough bleeding as long as i've been on birth control, even when I've been off of it. Last month I had two episodes of breakthrough bleeding that lasted less than a day each. This month I've had one episode that has lasted 5 or 6 days now. It's not enough to get into a panty liner, but it's there when i wipe. I contacted my OBGYN, and her nurse told me that the doctor would more than likely put me back on birth control to help regulate my periods again. She suspected it was a hormonol thing. Obviosly I dont want to go back on birth control, because I'm trying to have another baby. Are there any other options to help me besides going back on birth control. Shoudn't there be some tests run first?

Is this normal?

I'm a bit worried as my cycles haven't been right since I came off BC. My last menstrual cycle was Sept 6th I believe it was a cycle it was heavy and bright red, only lasted for 3 days. I was expecting to get AF around the 9th, I've been charting my cycle at mymonthlycycle.com, and it was estimated to come about the 9th. It's almost a week early. I'm so confused. I'm not sure how much I'm bleeding I seen it this morning light bleeding and I threw a tampon on, sorry TMI. I'm getting very discouraged and depressed, I'm so frustrated with my cycle.

Breakthrough Bleeding

Will breakthrough bleeding throughout your cycle have an effect on the heaviness and length of your actual period? I had some breakthrough bleeding 10 days before my actual period started. The breakthrough bleeding lasted 3 full days of regular bleeding plus 2 of spotting. This real period I had was heavier for 2 days then just quit like a tap was shut off...no spotting, nothing. I call one a breakthrough bleed and the other a period because of what my temps did after they started. After the breakthrough my temps stayed high but since the period started my temps have gone down (still not to my basal temp but down compared to what they were). What do you think?
