Period immediately after ovulation??

I have been keeping close track of my cycle because for the past three cycles I suddenly became irregular (a very regular 33 day cycle to suddenly 23/24 day cycles). I have been using an OPK this month and the day I believe I ovulated I had a positive OPK, lower back pain, and began seeing EWCM (and the day was almost directly on track with the estimated ovulation day for my normal 33 day cycle). So I'm thinking awesome, at least my ovulation is on track. Well, the day after ovulation I notice a very light pink discharge and this I think is ovulation bleeding and an excellent sign. THEN, the next two days I begin to have a moderate amount of brown discharge... like old blood... but much more than what should be seen during ovulation bleeding. When my cycle was regular I never experienced this. It's almost like I am going into my period - or some lighter version of my normal period - right after ovulation?? Could there be something wrong with me physically or with my hormones that would cause this? My husband and I are trying to become pregnant as well (with no luck in almost a year), and I don't think this change is a good sign.

I went in to the hospital last thursday to find out that I was 3-4 weeks pregnant but I went in there because I had a brownish discharge when I went to the bathroom. The doc did a HCG on me that was 198, Went back to the hospital yesterday morning and the doc said my HCG had dropped to like 60. My husband and I have been TTC for 1 year and I never thought it was possible with endometriosis. So How long will I continue to bleed. and Is my body doing what it needs to without the help of a D&C? The doc told me the type of miscarriage I am going through is Blighted Ovum. We very much want a child im just scared that I will never conceive again.

Slow Rising HCG & Lots of Bleeding

We are our our 3rd IVF cycle with no babies to show. The 1st was sucussful, but ended horribly, the second didn't work and now we are onto our 3rd. My HCG was at 25 when they 1st tested me and I figured it did not work again. Then 2 days later they told me my numbers had doubled, but I had staretd bleeding and didn't have much hope. I bled horribly for 2 days and when they retested they told me I was still rising. I still continue to bleed and my HCG still continue to rise. They won't do an u/s till I get to 5000. I'm scheulded for another blood test in 3 days, but I'm having a hard time beliveing everything is OK. Any thoughts?

Had my AF, finished yesterday. Today I BD and when finished all was normal. An hour later I started bleeding and I can understand why and my ovaries hurt. Why is that???

How common is late implantation in pregnancy?

I think I might have had late implantation because of some late bfps after some spotting/bleeding on & off this cycle, and just wondered what was the norm for late implantation? Like what is the range? How many pregnant women have this happen? Thanks, I'm just scared this bean won't stick.

10 weeks pregnant with bleeding & cyst

Hi Doc,

I am 10 weeks pregnant. I have had brown spotting since 6 weeks. At 9 weeks it became mixed with red blood, but not too much. Yesterday I had gushing blood, pink & clear fluids for 1 1/2 hours. Went to ER, blood hormones are find & saw heartbeat and movement on ultrasound. A left ovarian cyst was found. (which explains the discomfort I have been having). They gave me Rhogam shot & sent me home. OB doc called and told me just to wait. I have not gotten an answer for over a month of this bleeding. Any ideas what is causing this? The baby is growing and seems strong. But does this bleeding compromise him? Any informaiton would be so appreciated!

idk whats goin on w/ me. im 1 DPO and very light brown/pink spotting when I just went to the bathroom. After BD with DH. Only on the toilet paper though... I'm very confused. If I start bleeding idk what I'll think. This is crazy. Who spots the day after a + opk?

pink and brown discharge during pregnancy

hey all, i am just looking for a bit of advice really or personal stories, i am about 5weeks roughly pregnant and had been having problems with my HCG levels but they are going up now the other day there i had some pink discharge but i put it down to cutting myself because i have thrush and have been scratching a little. anyways today i started getting pink discharge again not alot just when i wiped and when i went to the toilet a while ago i have some brownish discharge stain on my pants, but not had anything since, not had any pains or anything either??? i have suffered miscarriages 7 of them to be exact but never had this before where it was only a tiny bit then stopped, i had bleeding with my son when i was pregnant but i just got used to it once i was past 12 weeks and all scans showed he was fine, but not sure what to think this time, i phone the Early pregnancy unit i have been attending and they said i have a scan on monday anyways so just to wait until then because coming in early might mean i see nothing and that of course might get me even more worried, she did say it might be caused by my thrush? what else could it be? should i be worried or is it something that is pretty common?

please help going to end up losing my mind, we have been trying for over 2 years with fertility treatment and this baby is well wanted i am currently on bed-rest hoping this will help and give us a better outcome.....

Breakthru bleeding after breastfeeding??

I recently quit breastfeeding. I fed for 9 + months and never had af until I stopped. I've had two cycles now. I am currently on cd 13 and I am still having brown tinged mucous. Am I having breakthru bleeding? What could be the problem...or is it going to take a while to get back to normal? My first cycle after quitting was about 31 days.

placenta previa at 19 weeks and bleeding

What are the chances of this pregnancy continuing? I had some heavey bleeding two nights agao, went to the er and was told that it was heavy but not bad so there is nothing they could do. Then was at high risk yesterday and they determined that I have placenta previa. The bleeding slowed down enough to where it was just on the tp when I wiped, but as of today it is bright red again and feeling like it is picking up again. =(

I have fallen so much in love with this baby and feel like I need to know really what to expect. Please help

Bleeding in Early Pregnancy After a Miscarriage

I had a MC at 6 weeks and a D&C at my 8 week appt (26 days ago). I still had not had a period and after blood work it turns out that I got pregnant immediately after. I am super early along and I have had spotting in previous pregnancies. I am concerned however that today I am having more than spotting-not bleeding heavy like a period, but light bleeding. Is this normal in early pregnancy immediately following a D&C? Or is this something that I should be concerned about and call my Dr?

hi, found out i am pregnant on dec 1 but yesterday i had bright red bleeding for around 2 hrs and then again today for most of the afternoon but it has stopped again now,my doc has got me a scan for fri.

yesterday i had no pain at all but today i experienced very, very mild period pain but only for about an hour.

although i am worried, i don't know whether or not i should be. i bleed a small amount in early pregnancy with my 2 youngest children but bled from 13 weeks till about 19 weeks with my youngest.

i'm just confused right now, this bubs wasn't planned but once the shock sank in, they became very much wanted.

i know it can be common to bleed in early pregnancy and i should be resting but that is very difficult as my partner works full time and can't afford any time off, my youngest is only 10months old and i have a 4 yr old who is extremely difficult at times (he's in the process of being assessed for autism/aspergers and adhd!

any advice anyone can give me would be very grateful!

I am currently 15dpiui. I have taken a couple of pregnancy tests,but all were negative,but I still feel like I could be pregnant. I've been having light period like bleeding for 4 days,but I only had cramping the first day. Thats unusual for my periods. I usually cramp and have stomach aches during menstruation. I have been pregnant twice in the past,but both ended in miscarriage. I am having symptoms similar to what I had with those pregnancies:Soar and itchy breasts,headaches,feeling more tired than usual during the day,and I have been peeing alot more than usual. I am using progesterone suppositories which made me bleed like this in the past. The only thing is I can't remember when I got my BFP's with those pregnancies. I'm just wondering if I can still get one this late. I am going to take one more test with first morning urine and then call my RE and ask him to do a BETA.

i got a positive pregnancy test the other day and then started bleeding the next morning i done another test but had already been to the toilet before so was unable to go so well so the test was done with only a few drops of urine but came out negative? i went to the doctor who done some test and said i have a UTI but that the bleeding was prob a miscarriage, i have suffered 7miscarriages before this and this seems nothing like my other miscarriages but also seems nothing like a period?

me and my partner have been TTC for over 24months now and on clomid for 4months, we have a scan booked for wednesday morning, but the bleeding is slowing down, it was never very heavy to begin with and no clots, some pains but nothing sever...

it only seemed to last two days the bleeding and it was more a dark red/purple colour?

i am unsure what this could have been? could it have been a miscarriage? could it have been implantational bleeding? could it have been a very werid period?

please help after the doctor said she was sure it was a miscarriage we have been beside ourselves, i have also been put on bedrest till wednesday which is hard when i have a 2 and a half year old please help

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant, I've been having severe vomiting for almost 2 months now... having to go in for IV fluid once every week and a half or so to prevent dehydration causing preterm labor.

Thursday night I was up ALL night long with severe stomach cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea. (this happens about once a week since the throwing up started... not all that unusual) All day Friday, (yesterday) I was very dizzy and nauseas and had severe stomach cramps all day long, by stomach cramps, I mean both in my upper abdomen (the actual stomach) and my lower abdomen (where you'd feel menstrual cramps) by last night I was having some sporadic painful contractions, so I soaked in the tub for an hour until they slowed down, and chewed on some ice chips... when I got out of the tub, and saw the water going down, there was some clotty blood, like you'd see when you're on your period.. but, I haven't seen any blood in the toilet or on the toilet paper since then... I was awake nearly all night long last night as well throwing up, having diarrhea, and with SEVERE cramps and dizziness. I got out of bed this morning and soaked in the tub for another hour... since then I've thrown up twice and had diarrhea once, and am still having horrible cramps, and dizziness. I'm having like "half contractions" in that either the top or bottom of my uterus is contracting.. but not all of it...

I don't want to bother my doctor because he's just going to tell me to tough it out until my next appointment on tuesday, and just to go in to get IV fluids at the infusion center if I'm feeling dehydrated.. so I'm hoping one of you ladies has had a similar experience and can share the outcome, or maybe one of the doctors here has some insight for me as to what is going on?

Is this my periods after delivery?

I delivered my first baby on July 6th (Normal Delivery). Bleeding lasted for 40 days. On Aug 16th i got bleeding that lasted for 2days only. Was that my periods? On Sep 1st I got bleeding again for 1 full day then it stopped. on Sep 22nd I got bleeding again for 1 day and it stopped. Why am i bleeding? Is it my periods? Should I consult a local Gyn here?

Is it normal to bleed while taking bc pills for IVF?

Hi-

I am on day 26 of my menstrual cycle.

I started taking bc pills on day 5 and will continue until I start stimming.

I started spotting (very dark brown) yesterday,

and it is becoming more of a period today-but not entirely.

I have some cramping, too.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Please advise.

If you had spotting(pink and brown blood) for 2 days and then bright red bleeding the 3rd day, what is considered day 1 of your cycle? Do you count spotting or the 1st day of bright red bleeding?

Hi Dr. Q -

I'm 7wk 3 days and had the first internal ultrasound yesterday. everything checked out great - the heartbeat was 131 bpm. Today - I had some spotting in my underwear and slightly when i wiped (sorry if TMI). It was brownish and some red. It's been about an hour and nothing more. I'm really worried as I haven't spotted at all yet. Is this normal??
