Strange!!!

We're starting our ivf process on NOv. 4th. On CD 4 I had my 3-day labs done and then they started me on birth control pills. A couple of days ago I started getting brownish discharge, and just a couple of hours ago, I got red...bright red! I'm only on CD 18 and I'm on birth control pills, so I'm not even suppose to get af. What is going on?

I need help! Please advise me. (lupron, birth control pills, clomid)

I have moderate to severe endometriosis and PCOS. I got pregnant accidentally with my first child which was a blessing!! Since her birth we wanted another baby and were unable to get pregnant. A laparscopy and 3 lupron shots later I'm deciding if I'm really ready for the second child. I have an appointment with my doctor in a few weeks. His plan was to start me on clomid once I started menstruating again after lupron. But I think I want to hold off until after the new year. Can I go back on Ovcon 35 once I start menstruating again for several months? My fear is if I do this, the endo will grow back again and I won't be able to conceive right away when I'm really ready! I don't want to decide that "it's time" than find out after a year has gone by after trying its not working out. What is my best option? THank you so much!!

-Confused!!

hi,Doctor. im currently on CD4. i have a question im kind of confused here!!! i had my app. today 10/10/08 for u/s and b/w to start my B/C pills for 21 days. To start ivf. my nurse told me that she was going to call me with results from blood work and see if i was ready to start b/c pills so like around 3:00 she called and she said everything looks good and i was ready to start the b/c pills that she had givin me earlier. so my question is theres 1blister card of 28 tablets theres 21 white pills and 7 brown. but im only supposed to take them for 21days so i have 7 left but they are brown and this is the first time that i ever actually see the pills so im not sure if im supposed to drink the brown ones or what are they for..... and also my nurse just said your blood work came back good so u could start with b/c pills now and im confused cause someone from here told me that i had to start b/c pills on CD8 but im only CD4 and my nurse just said start taking them so im not sure know if im supposed to take them now or no?? thank you!!!:):)

CD 3-Baseline Ultrasound-1.8 (18mm) follicle!-Doctors, please help!

Is this possible? Of course it is, I guess, I saw it. This was after a month's worth of birth control pills. This happened to me my first cycle and I got pregnant with twins after two packs of birth control pills but miscarried at four months. Is there a way to get suppression without two weeks of birth control pills that would be adequate? Is there a stronger type of birth control pills that won't require two months worth? I currently use Reclipsen (Desogen). I just don't want to have to waste two months during each attempt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Lupron depot, the pill and endometriosis

Hi everyone. I had my last lupron depot shot Sept. 29th and once I start my period, I'm going to go on the pill for a few months before trying for a baby. (After the holidays) Does endometriosis have a chance to go back while taking the pill? I was on lupron for 3 months at 3.75 mg. Should I skip the sugar pills and just keep going into a new pack? What about when I start the pill? Do I start on the day of my period or wait until the following Sunday? I don't want the endo to grow back before trying for a second baby. I need help!! Thanks!!

pcos

Dr.Q,

i thought it was more common to develop pcos in a person's teens. I keep reading about women who have stopped bcp in their 20s who have develped this. Is this the more common scenerio or is it more common for pcos to rear its ugly head in the mid to late 20s?

Desperately trying for baby #1

Hi Doctors and Ladies out there, I just wanted to know weather having intercourse every other day will help in conceiving? I’ve been trying for 7 months now and I’m starting to get a little depressed with it all. I’ve tried using ovulation detecting strips and I’ve tried the counting day thing, and I have also tried the temperature thing as well, I am SO exhausted, and I feel like giving up but I really want a baby, I guess I crave being a mom!!!! however I never thought it would take me SO long, does anyone out there have anything else to try, oh and I’ve just stared to try the saliva tester but it keeps furning so I guess that’s not going to work for me either.

Please help me ladies I’m desperately trying for baby #1, I’m starting to think I’m not able to conceive I’m 31, never been pregnant before does that mean if I never have been pregnant that its probably because I probably cant? i've been off birth control for about 2 years now but thought we would start trying in the last 7 months.

missed period after coming off birth control

I came off of birth control (yazmin) in August and had a normal period August 23, I am now almost 2 weeks late (according to a 28 day cycle). I am almost positive that I ovulated this month around sept2-4, as I had the sharp pains in my left lower abdomen, had a temperature rise, etc. I was wondering if there was any way to ovulate and miss a period if you weren't pregnant? I know that birth control can mess with your cycle, but I figured if I ovulated I should have had a period by now?? I took 3 pregnancy tests at home around sept 20th and all were negative. Should I go in for a blood test? Thanks!

Birth Control To Clomid

I was given Metformin a week ago to take but I have been having terrible side effects from it. I stopped taking it last night. My RE who I can't seem to get a hold of told me that this may happen that I might not be able to take it...she said if that happens she'll have to prescribe birth control to get rid of the cysts from PCOS. What are the chances of taking birth control then switching to clomid to induce ovulation if any? Thanks in advance!

Femara and ovarian cysts

At my midcycle ultrasound yesterday I had a cyst on my ovary that was 42mm. I also had a follicle that measured 16mm on my right side. Can I still get pregnant with a cyst? What are the chances I will need surgery? My Dr. also mentioned the possibility of birth control pills if it doesn't go away on its own...since we've been TTC for 15 months birthcontrol is not something I really would like to do...any suggestions?

Having a vaginal birth second time around...

Hi everyone. I have a question. If your first child was born vaginally what are the chances of a second child being born that way? What if your second pregnancy is a set of twins? Can you still deliver vaginally? Does a doctor ever tell a patient they've had enough c-sections? Thank you!!

TTC

ok doc, another question. i cannot seem to catch my doc when she is in the office. we are playing phone tag. anyways, I am really wondering about this. My doc started me on BCP to jump start my period (which is practically non-existant for 2 years due to high progesterone levels) Well the pill made me super nauseated and I had heavy break thru bleeding. So I stopped the pill mid cycle. I couldn't bare it. Dh and I have been TTC for almost 2 years. Are my chances of getting pregnant any better even though I stopped the pill mid cycle? I guess i kinda figured maybe since I did have bleeding. Atleast I know my uterus kinda works.

trying to concieve

i have been on yaz birth control pills for 4 months. i stopped taking them a month and a half ago. i did finish my pack. anyway we have been trying within the month and a half of stopping the pill. the first month i got my period around the same time i get my period. my period was a normal period as before i was on the pill (heavy)(crampy). well anyway after my period me and my husband have been have sex every other day. i have been taking ovulation tests. my first month after stopping the pill the ovulation test was positive for 3 days straight. before during and after my ovulation date. why?now today is the day before my ovulation date and no second line?? i think i have egg white mucus but it may be my husband sperm falling out.? i am taking 65mg iron and 400mng folic acid. and yes me and my husband smoke can that keep us from concieving? is there a chance i can become pregnant this month. how soon can i find out? blood test. is there anything that can help us conceive? is there anything i need to stay away from? please help! thanks:)

Side effect from stopping birth control, with PCOS?

I have PCOS. I am 28 years old. I stopped taking bc at the end of July. Still no period. I did have spotting twice, only enough for one wipe and one spot at that. I have been very dizzy for the last 4 days. Almost fell over one day. I have non-stop cramps since coming off bc. Negative HPT's as recent as yesterday. Any advice to regulate my period? Thanks.
