Spotting on CD 23...CONFUSED, Help

Ok,Dr.'s and Ladies: I need your help now. I'm simply baffled with my cycle this month!

Background: I have PCOS. I've been taking Metformin for about 2 months now and I take Prometrium 200 mg for part of the cycle. Last cycle was 72 days long, I think I did ovulate on CD 66 of that cycle which made for a 9 day Luteal Phase. The cycle before that one was 56 days with no ovulation at all.

Now on to THIS cycle. Today is CD 24. I don't think I ovulated yet. Last night, I started spotting and again today. (TMI warning)...It's kinda more than spotting, but not a full flow at all, not enough for a tampon or even a pad. Any ideas on what's going on? I don't know what this could mean. I know your can sometimes spot during ovulation and I also know about implantation bleeding. I don't think it's either of those things b/c like I said it's more than spotting, but it's also not a full-blown AF either. I took an HPT just in case and it was negative of course.

I'm including the link for my chart from fertilityfriend.com, please take a look. Any advice would be MOST helpful! THANKS!!!!!!

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1ef3c8

Question about temperature charting

This might be a really dumb question, but I am curious. Ok, so I just recently started taking my temp in the Am (Like within the last 3 days) I am on cd15 and still no ovulation. I had a m/c in July and a regular AF 15 days ago. I usually ovulate around cd16 - but I also usually have a lot of cm leading up to that and so far I have had very very little. I am worried that I won't ovulate.

So I started taking my temp to see if it was coming. So here is my question. I live in MN. Its in the 40s and night and in the 70s during the day. Obviously we don't turn on the heat yet and in the morning its freezing. Will that affect my temp? The thermometor is freezing when I use it in the morning and I am under several blankets but its still cold. Will that work??? It seems like I might not get an accurate reading. Any ideas????

THanks!

Could it be possible my Progesterone levels are to low?

Hello, my last cycle I got a BFP at 12dpo, only to find out my HCG levels weren't doubling and I miscarried at 5wks. I was wondering if my progesterone levels could be low and that would be part of my problem. Last month was my first cycle on Femara I had used Clomid 3 months prior, with no success. I have a 1 year old son I concieved naturally the first try, and when I found out I was preg. with him I was immediatly put on Progesterone suppliment because they said my levels were a little low. I have been charting BBT and this is what my chart looked like this past cycle.

CD1-97.2

cd2- 96.5

cd3-96.5 (start femara)

cd4-96.8

cd5-96.55

cd6-96.55

cd7-96.5 (end femara)

cd8-96.5

cd9-96.5 (low fertility montior reading

cd10- 96.5 (FM low reading)

cd11- 96.7 (fm low reading)

cd12- 96.6 (fm low reading)

cd13-96.46 (fm low reading)

cd14-96.5 (fm low reading)

cd15-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd16-97.0 (fm high reading)

cd17-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd18- 96.5 (fm high reading)

cd19-97.2 (fm high reading)

cd20-97.0 (fm peak reading)

cd21-97.5 (fm peak reading, 1dpo)

cd22-97.5 (fm high reading 2dpo)

cd23-97.47 (fm low reading 3dpo)

cd24-97.6 4dpo

cd25-97.4 5dpo

cd26- 97.72 6dpo

cd27- 97.75 7dpo

cd28-97.7 8dpo

cd29- 97.33 9dpo

cd30- 97.77 10dpo

cd31- 97.77 11dpo

cd32- 97.57 12dpo (positive hpt)

cd33-n/a

cd34-97.93 14dpo (started a progesterone suppliment the night before because blood test showed progesterone level of 10)

cd35- 97.92 15dpo

cd36-n/a 16dpo

cd37-n/a got next blood results back hcg only went up to 31.5 from 23 believe I will miscarry

cd38-spotting (miscarriage)

I have a apt. with my OB on the 19th, and I am going to show her my chart as well, but I read if your temps. don't go significantly higher than your coverline after ovulation you could have a problem with low progesterone. What do you think? Fertility friend stated my coverline was at 97.32

OPK+ and no thermal shift.. more advice needed, please!

Hi Ladies, I have already posted a similar message to this already but am still confused... I had a OPK+ on CD 15 (I'm now CD19, took clomid 150mg CD2-6), but as yet have had no BBT rise at all. My advice so far from kind ladies on this site is to just go with the OPK and assume that I O'd on CD16, but I am worried about stopping the BD too soon. I have been charting for the past three cycles and my temp always rises after O.. and it has not. I have done a couple more OPK's since the first positive, all different brands, and they are still showing positive 4 days later. I know that you aren't supposed to test again after the 1st +, but the lack of thermal shifty has me baffled. What do you think? Have any of you ladies seen a positive OPK, no thermal shift, and still O'd? I thought that your temp had to rise to confirm O. Please help!

Positive OPK's and no BBT rise... what is going on? Please help!!

Hi there, I am on CD 18, having taken clomid 150mg on cd 2-6. I was so excited to get a OPK+ on CD 15, as I have pcos and usually don't ovulate untl cd 35-40 at the earliest. However, i am charting my temps correctly, and have had no rise in BBT yet, although I am still having ewcm. I did another OPK today (cd19).. I know you're not meant to test again after your first positive, but I wanted to know what wasw happening. So the OPK today was positive again. I don't think I have ovulated yet. What is going on? Has anyone else had OPK+ and not ovulated/seen rise in BBT? Thanks for your help!!

Should I consider taking clomid?

Hi, I'm new here. I am getting frustrated since I feel very sure that I am not ovulating. I went off bcp in February and have had only 1 period in August induced by Provera. Provera didn't work for me in May. I am charting and saw an RE since my hormone levels were extremely low. He discussed starting clomid (was sure it wasn't PCOS, even though I thought maybe) and I found out my insurance won’t cover more visits until February (trying for a year). What is your opinion? Do I start clomid or wait it out? Am I ovulating? Some think CD21 I may have... Any advice welcome. Thanks!!!!

Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/215392

BBT Drop 5 DPO

Hello all. I am knew here. I am so happy I found this website. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since January. I am pre-diabetic and my ob/gyn thinks that is possibly why it has been so hard for us. I was not ovulating at first, but since have started to do so on my own. I had my first IUI done on Thursday, 08/21/2008, with no harsh side effects other than some cramping in the PM and bloating. I had the HCG shot on Tuesday, 08/19/2008. My bbt has been over 98 since Friday AM. This morning, it was under 98 at 97.86. According to my chart on fertilityfriend I ovulated on day 14, which was the day I had the IUI. Should I be concerned about the temp drop? Could it have been because I took the temp an hour sooner than usual, but I also went to bed an hour earlier? I would greatly appreciate anyone's take on this.

clomid....should I be doing opk's and bbt?

Hi there. I am so glad I found this site! I went of BCP 2/08 and was having a period every 2 1/2 to 3 months. In June I went to my dr to get blood work done and everything was fine. (no progesterone was taken) My husband also did a semen analysis and that came back fine as well. My 1st round was 50 mg (4-8) and my progesterone level was 13. 2nd month 100mg (3-7) and only 4.7!? The problem is...I started charting with the 100 mg and also doing OPK's. Both months I got a positive OPK on day 22... I am not sure what to go by my opk or my chart?? My chart shows a signifigant rise on day 19 and stays high until the day before my period. Is it possible to get a positive opk 3 days after my temp rise. It went from 97 to 97.5and up to 98.4. If I did ovulate earlier than my blood test was too late. B/c I was going by my OPK. I got my Blood work done on Fri and started my period on Monday. I go to the dr on Friday for my annual and to discuss clomid again. This is the 3rd day of my 3rd cycle. I am now on 150 mg. I have not been getting ultrasounds or trigger injecitons done. They have never been discussed with me. What do you think about the discrepency in my opk and chart?? Thanks so much in advance!

BBT

I take my BBt every day at the same time every morning (5:20am) My question is I am traveling this weekend and will be traveling overnight so I will not be sleeping and gettign up at the same time. When do I take my temp. I will be drving all night and most likely not going to bed until well after my normal temp taking time.

Ladies or Dr's.

I'm due to start my first round of clomid next month.

When my next cycle starts I start the clomid CD 3-7.

I will be using OPK's and tracking everything on my BBT chart.

I need to know:

what to look for, what to wait for, what to ask my dr., what to expect, when to use the OPK's (i ordered 90 online real cheap and not sure when to use them)... etc.

I have a u/s around CD 12 next month to check on the follicles. I need to know what kind of questions to ask.

ANY suggestions or past experiences of how you handled ur charting and clomid would be amazing.

I'm nervous =)

Why is my bbt staying down?

I had a spike on wed, 96.57 to 97.20. But two days later my temp dropped way down to 95.94, and are only slowing starting to go back up, but are still nowhere near that temp that I assumed marks ovulation.

Why are my temps staying down?

BBT Plummet??

I've been charting for a couple months and I *think* I ovulated tuesday since my bbt went from 96.57 to 97.20 which was a huge spike compared to all my other temps which were all close to each other. But today I had a HUGE plummet down to 95.94?? Why would my temp randomly plummet like that?

BBT and trigger shot

Hello, This is the first cycle where I've taken an hCG trigger shot. I also took femara. I had at least 2 mature follies, probably 3, by the time I took the trigger. I had IUI Monday AM, 36 hours after trigger. But, my temperatures haven't risen to indicate ovulation, and it's now 2 days after when I should have ovulated. Can this happen? thanks

Will room tempature affect bbt temps?

I think I pretty much ovulated and everything (had all the signs-+opk,ewcm,temp drop) but my temperature hasnt went up that much. We keep it freezing cold in our bedroom. My question is can room temperature affect bbt temps?

ok whats going on now?

So I'm tracking everything on a BBT chart. I'm CD 16 and I started spotting today. Not much, obviously break through bleeding because I've had no symptoms of AF and its not due until around CD 34. I know all the reasons why my body may be doing this. I'm just frustrated. WHY. I mean how hard is it to just be normal?! arrgh im annoyed. How can I learn anything from my BBT chart if my own system is too whacked out to even chart? lol

Are other methods besides BBT and OPK's effective while TTC?

I use OPK's and BBT charting.

Are there any other methods that I can use to tell me when I'm ovulating. Or just to help increase my chances of getting pregnant?
