Hello...TTC since Oct 2007

About Me: I just celebrated my (first) 29th birthday ;) I am a twin (fraternal sister). I have been married 7 years; just celebrated the anniversary :) DH and I just purchased our first house. We've been in it for 1 month! *yeah* I am a graduate student in Geography; going for my Master of Science in Wetlands Biogeography. I'll be graduating in December 2008 (finally).

Health Background: I have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Fibromyalgia (FM) along with a host of other autoimmune diseases, symptoms, and complications. I have had these since I was 2 yrs old. So, that would make it about 27 years with these ailments.

TTC Info: I went off of ALL of my RA & FM meds, except my pain control ones, and my birth control back in July of 2007. We started TTC in Oct 2007. After no luck for 5 months, I stared charting my BBT. After no real results after 3 monthes, I started also using OPT. After 2 months of no results with BBT & OPT, I made an appt with my OB/GYN. He looked at my charts and my OPT results and stated very matter-of-factly "You're not ovulating". Well, DUH! So, he had me do the blood tests (which made me sick) and I have to wait until my next appt (in a week or so) to see what they found and where we go from here.

Now, Here's the odd thing...I have extremely regular periods, but no ovulation.

We'll have to wait and see what to Doc has to say about that too.

Im freaking out about if im able to ovulate. as u know my cycles on average are 36 days. can u tell me if there is a signifcant differece between an ovulatory and an anovulatory cycle?? I really have not found a specific definite answer. My bleeding is in the normal range. never too heavy or too light.

anovulatory vs ovulatory?

Is there a significant difference between an ovulatory and an anovulatory cycle? What are the symptoms of an anovulatory cycle?

Dr Q.....and Clomid users/previous clomid users

I just had my first anovulatory cycle ever. My progesterone level was 2.7 on CD37 and my doc dosn't beleive I ovulated. I am waiting on AF to start but if it does not start by next Wed. I am supposed to see my GYN who said he may give me Provera to start it. We have been TTC for 9 months and I have always ovulated on my own except for this cycle. I am thinking about asking him if the low dose Clomid would maybe give me a boost. My question is even though I have always ovulated in the past, am I a candidate for Clomid or is it for people who don't ovulate on their own? I have heard of women who ovulate taking the low dose for a boost but I don't know if it would be necessary.

Anovulatroy follicles

I have just started on clomid, had a scan which showed a lovely huge good looking follicle - however i did not ovulate. I have not ovulated for at least 2 years, have a period every month, get 2 weeks pmt with every symptom you can think of, plus i get mittelshmerz and mid cycle bleeding - how can there be no egg?

anovulation

I have been temping my BBT for the past 7 cycles and 5 months, only two of them have had possible ovulations, my ob/gyn doesn't think they were actual ovulations. I have had very short cycles. I have a 1 1/2 year old, no problem, and not sure why I am having problems now. I am currently on clomid, but am still waiting for a clear ovulation on my BBT chart, on CD 19. I just want to know what tests I can have my ob/gyn do to see why I may not be ovulating.
