I don't know what is going on with my cycle this month, my temp went back up today at CD 25...BBS are sore, so I think AF is coming, but I don't know what to expect since it doesn't look like I O'ed this month.

Here's my chart:

http://fertilitygal.com/BBTChart/Whats-the-deal--Is-AF-coming-or-not.htm

Possibility of a second LH surge?

Hi,

I am just wondering if there is any chance that I could have a second LH surge within my cycle. I had a surge that lasted for about 4 days but was not enough to register a positive on a OPK. Dr. Eva thinks there may be a small possibility that I have PCOS, so I am going to check with my doc about this. In the mean time I am wondering if there is any point in continuing to test for an LH surge. I am on CD23 today and the last of my surge was about 4-5 days ago.

Anovulation

Hi,

I am wondering what could be causing me to have anovulatory cycles. I have been using OPK's for the last two months and in both those months have not managed to get a positive. The tests will start to show a surge and never actually register positive before going back to showing nothing again. I always have EWCM around the time of the mini surge and last month I was also using a fertility microscope that showed ferning about two days after the darkest test. My cycles are irregular and can last anywhere from 30 - 45 days. Oh and I have also been on 50mg of clomid for the last two months. When I have done the progesterone test they always want to take them on CD21 and I don't usually show signs of ovulation until CD20-22. However they tell me the progesterone tests show positive for ovulation. How can this be? Sorry, this is so long... I look forward to hearing your reply.

Anoulation w/ regular period

I have a very regular period, but I have not ovulated for months. I know because I have been traking my BBT and using OPK and both indicate no ovulation.

So, what could it be?

Still not ovulating

I am 28 years old. I have gone through 3 rounds of Clomid and have not ovulated. I am currently in my 4th round of Clomid, in conjunction with Metformin (only for the last month) and today is CD 13. My OPKs have been negative so far. Tomorrow I have an ultrasound to see if I have any mature follicles.

I am really getting frustrated as to why I am not ovulating. I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor (Prolactinoma) over a year ago. I take Bromocriptin to reduce the tumor and the tumor has been virtually undetectable for the last several months. My RE says that he does not think the anovulation is due to the tumor.

What should I expect at my ultrasound tomorrow? What if I don't have any follicles--what does that mean and where do I go from here?

Endometriosis and anovulation

I think I may have endometriosis as I have painful, heavy periods accompanied by diarrhea. I started my first period at the age of 11 years 9 months and they have always been painful and very heavy. It wasn't until I was 16 that they became irregular. I've been ttc for 10 years. I only have a period about once every 3 to 4 months. I've been charting my temps and I only ovulated 6 times in 39 months. Out of those 6 times my luteal phases were 11 days, 11 days, 10 days, 11 days, 10 days, and 4 days long. Does this sound like it could be endometriosis? Does endo cause anovulation? I don't have medical insurance right now, so laparoscopy isn't an option. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you:)

no period, not ovulating, have two kids and want more!

I am a 30yr old, who until last year, had normal healthy periods all my life and two easy pregnancies. I went 1yr without a period due to heavy marathon training. Other marathons in previous years were not as intense and did not affect my period. I tried provera (took two cycles) in the winter. Bled 3 months (31-35 days apart) in Feb-April but am almost certain I didn't ovulate. Blood work on hormones and thyroid came back normal. Slightly increased the running recently and once again, no period after 49 days and on provera again!! Ahhh!! I am certain I am not- and haven't been- ovulating.

I would love more kids at any time. But I'd at least like to be able to run and ovulate still. I do NOT want a BCP that will pump me with hormones, keep me from ovulating anyhow, and give me a fake period.

Am I a good candidate for Clomid?

Ovulation

I am on round 3 of clomid, this last time taking 150mg. The past 4 months my day 21 blood tests have been 1.5(oct) 2.6(nov), 1(dec) and .7(jan). Have never gotten a positive OPK result. On a hunch and gut feeling took an OPK test this morning and got a positive result. I am on day 26 of my cycle- can this be correct? I have been diagnoised with PCOS and have never had a regular cycle or "regular" ovualtion.

Annovulatory Cycle

Hello again Doctor.

I believe that I did not ovulate last month (my BBT chart does not show ovulation occuring). My question is, how would not ovulating affect my menstral cycle? Would it make it a lighter flow or shorter amount of time?

My cycle was very strange this month (3 days of spotting, 2 days of light flow, and 2 more days of spotting). I took a pregnancy test that was negative on September 8th. Thanks!

Clomid

I am starting Clomid at 50mg. I have been trying for a year to get pregnant and no luck. I have had one child (unplanned) so I know I can get pregnant. My periods have been irregular and my doctor put me on a type of provera to get me normal and have been taking that for the past 4-5 months. I was wondering if you think 50mg will be good enough for me or if i should ask for a stronger dose. Also I have heard of women getting pregnant the first time round using clomid others a little longer. do you know what the chances are of me being one of the lucky ones and getting pregnant first time? You probably need more medical info on me but just wondering if you might have an idea just from the small amount of info I gave you. Thanks. Amy M.

Trying to Conceive

I am 32 years old and have never had a regular period. My fiance and I are trying to conceive, but when I tried with my ex-husband I was told I don't ovulate properly. My current ob/gyn has me on a Provera regimen, 10mg for 10 days each month to try to kick start a cycle, but I took the provera from 7/23 to 8/1 and so far all I have had is a little spotting and some extreme cramping. I have read up on Vitex and question whether it is safe to use with the provera. Any suggestions?
