Hi - I'm in my two-week-wait, and I have to fly long-haul in a few days. I hate flying and always take a Xanax first. Can one pill at this early stage cause birth defects if it turns out I am pregnant?

Hi Moonshine,

This med is to be taken while under a doc's supervision, but this early on, chances are it wouldn't increase the risk of any defects if you later turn out to be pregnant

I was told I could not even take it while doing IUI. My Dr was not comfortable at all. I stopped taking while TTC with RE and while pg.

I am going to try acupressure this time, and see if that works for me. I want to avoid Xanax if I can, but if all else fails, thank you Dr Q for the reassurance.
