I have irregular cycles after coming off birth control in Jan 09. I haven't had a regular period since then (only spotting) and I've taken OPK's throughout that time (since Jan till now) and I've never gotten a positive OPK.
My OB just recently (Monday Oct 26) prescribed me Provera to finally start my long awaited period and after one pill on the 26th the morning of the 27th I got a positive OPK. I just can't explain that, and I pretty sure it was positive because I took 5-6 tests all saying positive (I even took a digital one that showed a smiley face, lol).
I'm soo soo confused, as I said I got a positive opk on the morning of the 27th and the next day the 28th I got a negative opk and again on the 29th and so on. I wish I took an opk on the 25th and that would have answered the question if it was the provera or just my body, but I didn’t so know I’m confused! lol. So my question is if it was the provera that made the test come out positive wouldn't it be positive the whole time I'm on it? Did I really ovulate on my own then?
Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks!!! :)
