I MISCARREID ON 10/12/09 WITH MY TWINS AT 21 WEEKS WE TOOK CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MAY 50 MG. I SEEN MY OB DOC LAST TUESDAY AND SHE SAID WE COULD START TRYING AGAIN I NEVER HAD A FULL PERIOD ONLY SOME DARK BROWN SPOTTING BUT WENT AHEAD AND TOOK THE CLOMID MY LAST PILL WAS SAT AND MONDAY I STARTED A FULL FLOW OF BRIGHT RED BLOOD AND STILL BLEEDING SOME I AM AFRAID THAT THE CLOMID WILL NOT WORK I HAVE PCOS AND HAVE WANTED CHILDREN FOR MANY YEARS. I AM 33 YEARS ALSO I HAVE BEEN TAKING METFORMIN FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS NOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE CLOMID MAY STILL WORK THIS CYCLE AND ALSO CAN I TAKE ANOTHER ROUND OF CLOMID IN 1 MONTH. I JUST SO CONFUSED BUT I REFUSE TO LOSE HOPE

Hi Star and welcome to the site! So very sorry for you loss. However sadly it's really impossible to say if clomid will work on anyone because there is so many factors that come in play with ttc and PCOS is one of them. Best to use opk's and even get your dr to monitor you per your medical history per u/s and blood work. Also get your dr to check your lining because clomid has a nasty history of thin one's lining and also making you dry and sperm friendly lub is good to help for example pre-seed (www.preseed.com) and even vegetable oil yes the same oil you cook with.

Yes never loss hope and usually they do want you do a bleed before clomid but some dr's don't however address that with your dr in more detail.
