will I ovulate according to opk or trigger shot?

Several of us have asked this question before.

Dr Q, if I remember correctly, said that a trigger shot will override a + OPK. In fact, Dr. Q suggest NOT using OPK's when triggering since it can give confusing information.

The entire point of triggering is to be able to pinpoint ovulation.

If you're doing natural TTC, then, you should be BDing Sunday and Monday for sure. Other days around that would jsut be a bonus.

Thank you Mel for your helpful answer. I did bd this morning just in case, and triggered at 11:30am so that hopefully monday night bd will be right on time too. Also planning for tuesday night if we still can:) We don't have the results of the SA yet, so I'm a little afraid that we should abstain longer, but I guess we will figure that out for next month if this doesn't work.

Get to BDing hun. I would call the Dr's office and ask them if they got the results back and see if there is a issue with ur DH's sperm so u know if its ok to BD 3 nights in a row. If ur to worry about it then BD monday night or early Tuesday morning. That would be enough for him to build up.

When u trigger then u will O about 12 - 36 hours after that. So u can calculate the time and see where that puts u.

Dr. Q said in a post earlier today that regardless of sperm quality, one should not try to refrain from BD during the especially fertile time. I'm going with that!

hi this is just an update waited a long time for my hormone results and dh sa finally we went to see re last tuesday and they were all good. so the re suggested i try clomid i asked why if my eggs are good and dh sperms good they why? but i have decided we want to try naturally and if not pregnant by may then i will go on clomid and also as soon as i get my BFP i have to take babie asprin i have no clotting issues but have read on this site that you can clott when you get pregnant so there using it as a precausion...

im so excited to try this month but scared at the same time. As we dont want to lose any more babies i ve lost 2 both at 5 wks and had 2 chemicals. so thats my up date for a bit.
