hi I am a little concerned I am on puregon injections and tonight as soon as I pulled the needle out it bled a little.I am hoping the puregon didn't come out with the blood, it hasn't done this before.
The reason that you most likely bleed alittle from the injection is because u hit a blood vessel when you did the injection which is fine. The medication will still get into the bloodstream as long as you didnt see it squirt out when you took the needle out. Alittle of the medication that comes out is fine but if it was alot then I would call your doctor and advise them of this.
When I was new at doing injections I did this myself. I actually had the blood run down my abdomin and had a bruise afterwards but everything was fine =)
If you have to do another injection then look for an area that you dont see any blue veins on it. You dont need a big of an area to give the injection. So if you see a blue vein then move over alittle and do the injection there.
