Hi Doctor-
I am 41.6 years old. I have not had children before. I was on gonal F and medupor for 7 days, and lupron for 8 days. According to blood work, I ovulated on days 9 and 10. My IVF was unfortunately changed to an IUI as I only had 3 mature eggs and was already ovulating. I was monitored closely- on days 2, 6 and 9. Why did I ovulate so early? I thought lupron prevented early ovulation. What do you recommend for future procedures (IVF, IUI) regarding meds, monitoring, etc? I will obviously ask my RE (who I adore and trust completely) these questions when I see her, but in the meantime, I was wondering if you had any insight you could share with me...

talk to your RE about possibly changing protocols along with closer monitoring to catch the follicles early enough for retrieval... Confident your RE already has a good "game plan" for your next attempt
