My DH has 1% morphology and was diagnosed with a varicocele. In the coming months the doctor will be doing bloodwork including LH, Estradiol and Testosterone. He will also be getting an ultrasound to determine what stage varicocele is in and if he will need surgery. Finally, the doc wants DH to get SCSA test (DNA Fragmentation).

Is anyone out there currently dealing with or have you dealt with some of these issues in the past? Has your DH had any of these tests and what were the results? Have you done anything to correct these issues and did it work?

Jaime, my DH has low morphology as well 3.5% Although everything else for him was fine. We were able to get pregnant on our own a lot but they all ended in miscarriage. After seeing my RE we found out I had some problems and I know have a beautiful little girl.

We paid for the SCSA test, his results came back above normal. I talked to some of the people who adminster the SCSA test and they said that they have no real link between low morphology and high DNA fragmentation. They have a higher link with older males that have normal looking sperm whose partners miscarry.
