Where are you in your IUI cycle???

Hello, I had my first IUI on august 21. Well, af just arrived and I am feeling frustrated. Hope ya'll are successful. I guess I know need to think about IUI #2.

I am terrified that this one didn't work. I just have that "feeling". If so I will try again!

Annette how many follicles did you have and what was your dh's count after wash?

I had two follicles of good size (one larger than the other) and about 6 smaller ones. My DH's count was pretty good, I think. There were 67.1 million after wash and 98% motility. My only fear is that we did the IUI too late. On Sunday the follicles were there. I did the trigger shot Sunday night, went in on Tuesday for IUI and they did a sono afterwards and there were no follicles left so I o'd sometime between Sunday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

Sorry...I just looked at the paperwork again his count was 76.3 million concentration postwash and 68.7 million in the sample postwash. Motility was 98% postwash and 50% progressive motility postwash. Lots of numbers not exactly sure what they all mean but it sounds good :-)

Oh those are great numbers! If you caught the egg you have a really good chance!

Yes I thought so too. The problem that we are having is that my CM is a hostile environment for dh's sperm. That is why we tried IUI. I just hope that the timing was good. We will find out on Saturday. I have the Beta test then. It is all I can do to not test now (even though it would be a false positive since the trigger is still in me)

Well the IUI went well this morning. Hubbies count after wash was 10 million with motility in the 50's. Which for us is good news. Even though he is on the lower end of the numbers I have faith since his count was only 6 million with motility in the 40's when I got pregnant with my son. Best wishes for BFP's for everyone this time around!!

Hang in there Janet, that cyst should be gone in no time and you will be back on track for baby making!

Juls, I am glad everythign went ok this morning! Now is the hardest part...the dreaded 2ww. Did they put you on progesterone or anything?

Thanks Annette! Yes, I will start my progesterone suppositories on Tueday. How about you? Are you on anything? Does your RE have you go in for a blood test on a certain day or does he/she make you wait until you have missed AF? Mine makes me wait but I usually will start testing with HPT's on 12 or 13dpiui. Alot of people start earlier but I like to wait due to my fear of a false positive from the trigger shot.

I am on the progesterone suppositories. I started them the day of my IUI. I will go in on Saturday for a Beta test to see if I am pregnant. If I had to wait until I missed AF I would go crazy!

Starting the dreaded progesterone suppositories tonight. Yuck but it's worth it. How is everyone's 2ww going?

2ww is way too long...i am only 2dpiui! this is going to be soooo long....

Hey Angie...looks like we both had our IUIs on the same day. How many IUIs have you had? What meds did you take? How were your follies? How was Dh's sperm counts?

This wait is gonna drive me bonkers!!! I was fine yesterday but for some reason today its all I can think about!!!

yeah...I had it done Sunday morning...

This is my 3rd cycle of clomid and IUI. I took 150mg of clomid and had 2 follicles (19.5mm and 20.5mm) I did the trigger shot on Friday so Ovidrel will be in my system for a while.

My DH has a low sperm count...not dangerously low but on the cusp. His count was 6.8 million before wash which was actually on the high end from his 4.6 million last round.

I am really hoping that both eggs fertilized. Wouldn't it be just so awesome if I am preggo with TWINS?!??!?! If now, I will be completely content with just one!

Even my RE said he was very hopeful this cycle. MY DH and I did everything by the book. There was really not much else we could have done to increase our chances.

If this round doesn't work, we are moving onto IVF. That scares me a bit but I am just trying to focus on this cycle. I am constantly thinking that I am preggo....hoping that if I believe hard enough, maybe it will come true on 9/21!!! That is my 14dpiui and I can start my POAS!!! I think I am going to cheat and start 10dpiui! :-)

Juls...are you having any cramps right now? for me, it feels like my someone is poking me with a sharp object~ Never felt like this with my other IUIs...Hope this is a good sign!

How are you feeling? Did you take Clomid too?

Oh Angie I so hope this cycle is it for both of us! I took Clomid 100mg and had one follicle 22mm. Got my Ovidrel shot in the am on Sat. This is my 2nd IUI ttc#2. I'm not sure how many I will do before going to IVF. My insurance covers my IUI's 100% but only gives me a lifetime of $12,000 for IVF which is only one try. At my age the success rate for IVF is only 45%. I will most likely do as many IUIs as I can before going to IVF.

I was feeling super uncomfortable from Sunday evening until this morning. Very crampy especially when I layed flat on my back. I am better now but still bloated. When I got pregnant via IUI with my son, I had no symptoms what so ever until like 6 weeks or so and then some nausea but every women is different.

I probably won't test until 12dpiui. I don't have the stomach for it. If I see a negative I will get super depressed and then obsess over taking more tests! LOL!

Hey Juls...I really hope so too! My insurance covers everything as well which is definitely helpful. My insurance covers $15,000 for IVF which is apprx 1 round.

I am still pretty crampy...on and off. Its a tad irritating but it's for a good cause.
