Sorry i was working thats why it has taken me so long to respond. What Katie has said is right you will need to figure out when you ovulate use a opk these are very good to help determine when ovulation is about to occur then from cd8 bd every second night until you get a +opk then bd for two nights in a row skip a night and then bd again the night after i hope this helps you..

Sperm live in the reproductive tract easily for about two days and up to 3 and I usually like to say I'd rather have the sperm there waiting for the egg to come out of the ovary. This is why we say your most fertile days usually include the 2 days before ovulation, so long as intercourse took place during this time, you should be Ok.
