What to do if cd 3 for fsh test falls on a sunday?

June 20, 2009

We have recently seen an RE concerning IVF. I have orders to have bw on cd3 for fsh, estradiol and std screen(ours is a male factor, but tests are standard). Unfortunately cd3 is landing on a sunday. The RE's office is out of town and my ob's office doesn't do bw on the weekends. Should I go to a clinic lab on sat(cd2), try to see if the hospital does bw on sat/sundays(cd3) or wait until mon(cd4). I don't want to mess anything up or risk showing even slightly elevated levels since I am 37. Thank-you in advance for the information.

Thanks Rach- I am in need of opinions. Amazing that I can stress over one day.

As a side note-- I have discovered that according to their web sight anyway, the hospital lab is available on sunday.

RE's are normally in on the weekends, my office will have you come in on day 2 instead. They said they are the same, day 2 or 3, doesnt matter.

The office will pick 1 day to be on the weekend to see patients, they understand that your cycles are not m-f.

Thanks chelsharmony- I was a little busy, but i did read your response. My office can accomidate a weekend, but they are about 2 hrs away. I discovered the hospital lab was happy to do the bw for me on Sunday. Otherwise I would have had to do cd4. Dr's office doesn't have all the results in yet, but at least I got them done on time:)
