What this site brings to me { something personal}

July 09, 2008

I have decided to make a post about me and my journey.

I would love to tell people who i am and meet people i have not yet spoken to. I think that to get to know people you have to put yourself out there.

I will start of from the start, my name is nicole. I am 25, married to a wonderful man. I am blessed with three amazing children and they keep me busy,LOL.

around 2 years ago i had a missed m/c with twins at 18 weeks, it destroyed my thought on everything i hated almost everything. I finally built up the courage to love life and started to explore the unknown business of fertility and m/c, that is when i found this site. i have learnt quit alot from women who have been through what i have, and everyone on this site has given me strenghth to make it to the next month.

In march i had a chemical pregnancy, but i held my head high and learnt what all this meant.

This month i also had another chemical though i was upset i had so many wonderful ladies here who helped by just being there.

i am now cd 14 and giving it all i have to be a mummy again.

thank you for reading my story and would love to meet all of you at some point.

Hello Mrs. Raucho! My name is Melissa, I am 29. I have been ttc baby #1 for 14 months now. My hubby an I will celebrate our 10 year anniversary Aug 1st (we were high school sweethearts and got married young). I can't believe it has been that long. We waited to try to get preg because I was in school (I am a 1st grade teacher) and so was my hubby. He was also in the Navy for 8 years and we were just enjoying all the traveling.

It's funny, we waited so long until everything was just right that I figured when we were ready it would just happen. Boy was I wrong. I have had 2 chemicals (last one in Dec.) and get discouraged from time to time. It is especially hard as a teacher seeing some kids who are not taken care of, and then here I am desperately wanting to get preg. I have endometriosis (diagnosed in Nov 2001). I am having surgery on Tuesday to treat my endo and hopefully that will do the trick. My sonogram recently showed an enlarged uterus, not sure what that is about yet. I found this sight when I was looking for info about infertility on the net. It has been a wonderful place for me with so many caring and wonderful women who understand what I am feeling and going through. All of my friends are very supportive but they just don't understand or they are afraid to say something that might hurt my feelings, etc. I love this sight and my ttc journey would not be the same without it. Thanks All!

I love this post and it's nice to know your name! Hi Nicole :))))

I know we've spoken before, but I can't remember if I shared my name. My name is Sarah, I am 35yrs old. I was remarried two years ago to an awesome guy that I met on Eharmony. I have two beautiful children from my first marriage ages 13 and 11 a girl and a boy. My 11yr old son has type 1 diabetes and has so much strength and courage, it really amazes me. My hubby and I just had our first baby together 9weeks ago, his name is Cameron. He is very sweet. I had two miscarriages both resulting in my needing a d&c, one in July 06 and the other Dec. 06. I finally fell pregnant again in Sept 07 and had my baby May 2, 2008.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us, it's always so great to meet new people and to offer support to other women who truly understand what we've been through and the struggles we are continuing to go through ttc. Best of luck to you!

Nicole, yes my job is very rewarding. i love going to work everyday and I can't tell you how many people can say that. Each of my students is like my child (I have 20 of them :)). It does make me feel better to know that I (we) are not alone in this crazy journey.

Carrie, Thank you! I will let everyone know how my surgery goes and what they find :)

Thanks again to everyone for all of their support and positive thoughts :)

well i am so flatterd that this has helped to bring us together that little bit more.... :) sarah my father has had diabetes for, seems like forever though maybe its been 20years. my dad is my hero he just a couple of months ago had a kidney transplant, which is still alittle to early to tell but he is going great.... the reason he had that done is because he never took care of himself { he loved a little bit to drink } but i am forever telling my children to take of themselves, eat right etc, as they have not been diagnosed * yet, my dad was adult on set, so i am very carful{ if you know what i mean.} my levels are sometimes rocky though i plan my diet with a DR and everything atm is going ok. well its not all about me, lol i have seen photos of your little one sarah and he is so adorible, growing up to fast.

yes MrsM it feels great just to jump on this site and be able to chat about anything with friends who do not judge. BabyQ how are you? thank you for thoughts. i hope that all is well and please if you need a chat i am here....

July 11, 2008

I always wondered about those sites too. lol But with having two small childrena and a single mom I wasn't able to really have a social life and going out, just wasn't happening. I kept seeing those commercials and finally just logged on to eharmony and went for it. I met my dh a month after signing up and he was sent to me as a perfect match (since you don't pick your matches, the company does based on questions you had to answer when first signing up), anyways, he was so darn cute, I thought no he'll never answer my message anyways but honestly what have I got to lose? Well, he answered my message and we had so much in common, yet we are so different at the same time and conversation just flowed. We talked for a good month before our first date and after that we were inseperable. My kids and he just "clicked" from the first time they met him and it was great to see them interact with a man and the friendship between them just grew and now he's an awesome step father, and actually more of a father to them then their real one. Having Cameron has really brought our family together, bridging the whole "step father, step children" in to one happy and whole family. Jay and I still watch the commercials and we look at eachother and smile every time one comes on. lol :) I'm very grateful for that site, it was a safe and easy way to meet someone when I had been single and on my own with two kids for seven years.

Nicole, I'm sorry to hear about your dad, my real father too has diabetes and he is an alcoholic and takes very poor care of himself. We have not been in touch for years but I've heard he's still going strong with the drinking and no diabetes complications. Makes me very angry. My son was diagnosed at age 2 and so from day one I taught him to be vigilent with his care and for the most part he has perfect blood sugars. I'll keep your dad in my prayers that he continues to do well with is new kidney!

Got to love internet romances. Shane and I meet on the net too. We jst met in a plain old chat room called "power chat" and with few days of chating on there we moved to txt msgs then 7hr phone calls Like you sarah we had sop much in common but where so different too. Within 21 days of first chating I had made a trip to sydney to see him and 23 days after our first meeting on the net, we where a "us" and have been basicly insperatable ever since...Never believed in internet romances until it happened to me. We are both so blessed sarah to find our dream guys when we where least expecting it

July 20, 2008

well ladies its 9 dpo and feeling like this is not my month, not sure why its getting to me this month. how is everyone else doing?

July 20, 2008

Hi Mrs. considering myself 2 dpo today. Visit with RE on Thurs so moving forward. Supposed to call her to schedule bloodwork, ultrasound, and HSG when next AF shows. BD'd like crazy this cycle so just hoping that we nailed it this month and won't have to do that. DH and I have considered skipping that and just continuing to try naturally rather than go the meds route which will follow testing. Kinda in a funk. Looked at a bunch of adoption sites to see what's involved if we decide to go that route. Sorry that your feeling a bit down. Keep your head up.

July 22, 2008

thank you rae.

well i am in the same boat as you they want to start me on meds and do u/s etc though i am really pushing it not to as of yet. its a personal dision though if in the next couple of months i do not have a sticky little bean i will take the next step. it truley breaks my heart as everyone of these ladies understandS and it is how we try to deal with these situations.....that i think women are very strong indeed. good luck with everything rae.... sending you .......BABYDUST............

July 23, 2008

BABYDUST TO YOU NICOLE.. Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm always so inspired by women who have TTC month after month... I feel like the biggest baby. Last month was my first month of TTC and when I got my neg. I was absolutely soooo upset over it. I guess to me it was just scary that I may not be able to have anymore children.

But here I am TTC again this month. I am currently 4DPO and really hoping this is my month.

I really appreciate all of you sharing your symptoms, thoughts, suggestions and lending your ear to the many questions us newly TTC women have.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
