What is the egg retrieval procedure?

You go in after all the u/s and blood work monitoring. They start an iv and take temp, hight, weight, and blood pressure. You are escorted into the OR after gowning up. You start getting really sleepy and then zonk,you are out. About 5 or 10 minutes after the ret..which takes like less than 30 min. you wake up in RR. You are given water, or sprite and crackers and monitored again. Within an hour you can leave if you can get up to dress yourself. The worst part is the anesthisia..I would say. It knocked me on my butt and I was super tired the rest of the day. The day after I had some mild pelvic discomfort but not bad and they give you meds. So really, I'd say you are down about 2 days....

How do they retrieve the eggs? do they make an incision or just go through the vagina?

they make 2 little holes in your tubes and take them out that way. its not painful just not the most comfy afterwards. Its like a bad period cramps for a few days.

yeah, i think so and thats why they suck them out of the tube?

I dont really know if they wait or not cuz some of my follies werent mature so i dont know if those would have ovulated or not?
