Hi, I'm currently on clomid (1 tablet 50mg cycle days 2-6) I had my progesterone level taken and it was 29.8. My dr rang me up and said maybe I did not ovulate or ovulated late. Is this level acceptable to get pregnant or not?

I have gotten pregnant on clomid twice ( once cycle 3 - then I was on 25 mg of clomid different dr , once cycle 1 - on 50mg of clomid )before but do not know my levels. He is suggesting to increase dosage if I do not have a 28 day cycle. I know my pregnancy levels do not register with blood tests or urine until at least 2/3 days after cycle length. I also need to take progesterone tablets.

I'm a little confused as the web tells you so many stories. Please help me understand.

Do you know when you ovulated? The prog should be checked after ovulation. Many dr pick day 21 because that is when the average woman will be after ov. You need to confirm ov with temperatures, opk, or ultrasound and then get prog checked a few days after that.

Hi

I had a progesterone level of 32, and the doctor told me this was a good sign I had ovulated. Many websites say different things - some say it should be over 10, or 15, or 30!!! But I would definitely think there was some sign of ovulation with your result. Try and make sure you go for the test 7 days after you have ovulated.
