What does normal FSH level and elevated estrogen mean?

nurse said I have decreased ovarian reserve. I have had 2 chemical pregnancies in 3 months. Is it a good sign that the egg is getting fertilized?

I think the egg is getting fetilized but the egg qulaity is not good. IVf could help you stimulate more eggs to get a better chance of a good quality one. Good Luck.

How much does IVF usually cost? I'm not sure if IVF is even something we could afford right now, and I'm 36. Do I have a chance at getting pregnant using clomid or something like that?

Ivf is pretty expensive. Most insurance does not cover. About $10,000 with all medications. You are fairly young to have an issue with ovarian reserve. I would start accupuncture and follow the diet they reccomend. Cut out caffeine and alcohol and oddly--plastics. Plastics have soy in them and boost the estrogens in our bodies. ALso no soy unless fermented. Like miso is ok tofu is not. Soy milk is a big no no. Now it would be best to go to a Reproductive endocrinologist. They can give you a protocol for getting a few more eggs going each cycle. Since you and your spouse can fertilize maybe not needed to do iui or ivf. Just timimg and temping (take your temperature to determine ovulation.) There is alot to read up on to learn this process. Clomid cant be taken more than 6 months. Vitex is a natural supplement to help egg production. You can also buy fertilaid(available on this site in the store) So bottom line get more and healthier eggs (diet, accupuncture, environment and follicle stimulation) and then bd(for baby dance-mmmm-well an expression we use for sex LOL) at the right time. Since you get pregnant just improve your chances. Just dont wait like me cause I have been trying for 3.5 years and now I am 42.8. Keep asking questions and search this site for help and do internet research. Remember some advice is bad and some good. Check the sources and also know doctors also have differing opinions. Good Luck to you.

btw I am just starting witht the natural route, including lifestyle and diet and accupuncture.

Thank you for all of your advice. I have been getting pregnant every other month and this is the month for me. I'm on cd 7. I just started seeing a RE and doing the testing. The cd 3 blood work is what came back as having decreased ovarian reserve. I will have another blood test on cd 21 and a hsg dye test. I just started temping this cycle, but used opk's in cycles past to know when I ovulate.

I will check out the diet and stay away from plastics. The midwife I was seeing before the RE said I'm not that old and these things just happen sometimes. The RE told me without even doing any tests that the m/c where probably because of my age. So I guess I just need to do the footwork and let God take care of the rest!

I'm not even sure if there is accupuncture in my area, I will have to check it out. I will look at the online store for some meds that you suggested.

I am so greatful for this site!

Not just any accupuncture BUT a specialist in fertility! If someone does not advertise as a fertility accupuncture specialist dont go to them. You are NOT that old. Change the lifestyle and that will help. No plastic water bottles, plastic tupperware etc! Try the fertilaid (I think you can buy it at CVS drug stores but on line too)--check with RE if you take this.

Another reason why temping is good is that you can see an implantation dip in temp. It helps to know if it worked BEFORE a beta test.

also--no offense to doctors--but they will often have more confidence in what they are trained to do vs some of the alternative methods. So they will often tell you that accupuncture or diet do not do much. But that is not always true. If a gal has hit meno then nothing will change that. But have an open mind even with what your RE says. Not all doctors feel that way but some do. Incorporate as much as you can and then it will happen! Look forward to your BFP! (big fat positive!)

Have you had any luck using accupuncture? How often do you take the fertilaid? I'm already on cd 7, so I'm not sure if it will help me this cycle.

So what exactly does it mean if your extrogen is high? I've also read that fsh could be low or normal because the estrogen is high. I guess I'm just confused on how they can tell the quality of your eggs by these two hormones!?

I also look forward to posting a bfp! So, does your temp just dip for one day around implantation time? How much does it dip? I appreciate you answering my questions, and sorry I have so many of them. LOL

Where are you at in your cycle?

Quite honestly I just started this 'natural' part of ttc. I had two failed ivfs and kinda outa money. Sooooo, But my dh has SA issues (low count and motility) Accupuncture is shown to help that and I am just considered old. LOL. Dont really feel it. But Chinese medicine laughs at that thought and If you read up on it there is evidence that it helps to get the blood flowing and change our diets etc. I alos just started temping and have only been reading up on it. I have actually had swine flu so my temp just got below a fever. So we can do it as newbies together. You chart it (they have one on here called an ovulation calendar) I recomend it. I am using it and CD 1 will cahrt all my temps. But I am on CD ? I think 24 but been so sick I really dont remember. I will post some links for you later.

Thanks, I have been charting for 4 months now on fertilityfriend, and just started charting on this site this cycle. My dh thinks I'm crazy, and says I just need to relax and let it happen! I told him this support helps me=)

Any way I'm looking forward to the both of us getting those bfp's naturally! I'm sorry to hear about IVF's not working.

My dh SA came back as normal.

The swine flu is crazy around here to, I got vaccinated thru my work, so that's good.

My dd got vaccinated (she is 14 yrs old and has asthma)

My dh thinks I am crazy too but understands. I assume the fetrilityfriend site chart is good too. Just so long as you chart it. Gotta finish cooking but chat later.
