what does a yeast infection look like and feel like?

You can search yeast infections online and find a lot of info about them. I, unfortunately have had several and the doc says it doesn't affect your chances at ttc. It is just very annoying. The discharge is usually white and thick accompanied by itching and/or burning if you wait too long to treat it. Dr. can give you oral medicine or you can buy over the counter treatments to insert vaginally. I'm pretty sure there are now over the counter tests you can buy to be sure it is yeast. Are you taking progesterone supp.? I got the itching from them...so uncomfortable!!!!

LaurieH... when u have a YI then u will not always have the itching or burning hun.

Ur CM will look white, clumpy and could have an odor.

Also... if u have a YI then u need to tell DH to get meds for him. It can give it to ur DH also so have him go and tell the dr that u have one so they can give him something for it if u have one.

If he is not treated and u are then he will just give it back to u.

I hope that u dont have one but if u do then try the over the counter meds. They work good for women.

thanks ladies- okay i dont think I have one.. The weird like CM is gone- dont know what it was from and the itching is gone but there is a burning feeling and I think I know why now- when I wiped there was some blood and I think maybe from rough sex last wednesday lol I think it was dry and rough and he cut the inside of me a tad.. sorry TMI but thats what I can only think of... Hope Im right. otherwise the weird cm is GONE and the itching is GONE and just the buring but I think thats from the cut.. YIKES!!! lol

If it comes back then u can go to the store and they have a over the counter test that u can use to see if u have a YI! It is suppose to work.

thanks katie :) yeah I am feeling better on that aspect of things.. But today is just hard. My uncle was suppose to go in for surgery at 7am and now they changed it to noon so in 1 hr and 15mins he goes in and wont get out till 7pm they think as long as everything goes accordingly...
