What can be done to treat Teratzoospermia?

We just found out my husband has mild to moderate Teratzoospemia we already have a son, but we've been ttc #2 for 18months now with no luck. Is there anything we can do to fix the morphology of his sperm? Also what are the odds of me becoming pregnant on my own with him having this? Please any information is very much appreciated

HI sdolly. Just wondering what % they gave him. How many were abnormal?

A diagnosis can only be made after 2 semen analysis done at least 3months apart... chances are this was only a bad batch because remember, you already have a child with him indicating that his sperm in most cases should be functional

thanks i was thinking the same thing....how did we have a child if his sperm is that bad??? He is going for his 2nd SA in a week or 2 so hopefully the numbers will be better.

That's strange they didn't give you numbers.

My dh's first analysis came back with 90% Abnormal. Needless to say we are devastated. We are just waiting on his 2nd analysis it was done last week. I hope your Dh's are better on the next one! ALthough TTC for 18 months...something must not be quite right.

Good luck.

Wishing, what caused your husband's abnormal sperm count?

HI Jan. Well, a few weeks ago we got his 2nd S/A results back and They were fine! A little below marginal, but the Urologist says nothing to worry about. SO..actually this thursday, I go for My first appt. at a Fertility clinic. If all goes OK with me, we are hoping to do IUI soon. I'm hoping that Maybe some Clomid and IUI will do the trick.I guess we just need a little help.

Perhaps thats the case with you too? Maybe you just need a little "boost" this time around?
