I'm from Montana. The dr. read the results and then had the nurse call me to tell me. She said he just wants me to continue with the cd 21 test and the dye test and then they would go from there. It's frustrating not knowing exactly what is going on. From experience, I'm getting preg. every other month. If that's the case then this is my month. I just wish I was taking clomid or something so I would feel better aout it being a good egg this time.

Where are you from Holly?

I am from minnesota. Dont worry too much about the test results yet. I am sure once they get your cd21 test and the hsg that the dr will sit down with you and talk about everything including your options. That is wonderful that they are doing the testing that they are doing. They did the HSG test for me as well as soon as I came in with my m/c issue. They aren't really looking to see if your tubes are open, but rather at the shape of your uterus and making sure that your uterus is the right shape and stuff and that it can handle implantation. Its a VERY good test to be doing! Hopefully after that they will see that everything is normal and will have a game plan for you before you know it!!!!

My friend is in her 20's and her cd 3 test also came back as having decreased ovarian reserve. She got pregnant with her son he's 20 months and she just had a baby girl week ago. So, I do know that it's possible. I'm staying positive and have faith it will happen! I couldn't do it without the support of this site and all of your experiences, so thank you so much.

I know my dr. will be able to help me, it's just waiting that I can't stand! I'm sure you know how it feels to just want it NOW! LOL

Praying I too have decreased ovarian reserve and am also 36. I am assuming that you had an ultrasound on CD3 along with your bloodwork. Ask the Dr how many antrals were seen at Ultrasound. Antrals are what hold the follicles. The most I have had is 8. I was told to do IVF immediately but I chose to do IUI with injectibles. My thought process was to do 3 cycles and if nothing happened then I would move onto IVF. I got pregnant on my 3rd IUI. If your situation is similar to mine and I suspect that it is. Do not waste your time on Clomid. Injectibles will give you more follicles and therefore more targets for DH's sperm. It is costly but the meds are a breeze. Each cycle was about $5000 with meds. Keep in mind that you are very, very closely monitored way more so than with Clomid. I am a total needle phobe and did fine on them. I gave birth 13 weeks ago and will be starting IUI at the end of the month assuming my CD3 labs are favorable, I would like another child and if I wait my window just may be closed.

Abby- I didn't have an u/s done on cd 3 just the blood work. Then cd 21 blood work. He never mentioned a u/s to check for antrals. I'm not even sure what that means? The next step assuming I'm not pregnant is the hsg dye test. I did have an u/s after both m/c's and was told I had a cyst on my ovary. So, since you only had 8 antrals does that mean only 8 folicals were produced every month? My dh just started a new job a couple of months ago and I'm not sure if his new insurance covers infertility. I just don't think that IUI and IVF is something that we can afford. I'm happy to hear that it worked for you and you have a beautiful baby by the way!

I have some questions for my dr. now that's for sure!

Were you getting pregnant at all? I am getting pregnant, so hopefully my body matures a good egg!!

HMMMM then I wonder how they know you have decreased reserve. It must not be too much of an issue since you are getting PG. Were any tests done on the babies after to see if thier were problems? I wasnt getting PG until I did IUI and then had my son. I also have a 10yo DD.

Abby- I have a 19 year old son, but I have a different dh now. I was only 5 weeks both times, so no they didn't do any screening on the babies. DH has had a SA and that came back normal. They said I have decreased ovarian reserve from the cd 3 blood test. They just said my fsh level was normal but I had elevated estrogen. I'm getting the progesterone and tsh checked next Saterday.

What did they say when you had your cd3 blood work?

I'm very curious now!!

I just hope that it is a good sign that I'm getting pg.
