what are my chances at concieving at 36?

Praying - I just wanted you to know that though I am 29 I too had 2 chemical pregnancies in 3 months - I am so sorry for your losses. Its so hard. I am now 13 weeks though - so please dont give up!!! You might want to see a fertility specialist if you havent already. They helped me a ton!!!!

Holly, thank you so much for your encouraging words. I did go to an infertility specialist and he is going to do blood work on cd 3 and 21. I hope these test give me some answers. It's so hard not knowing. I am so happy you are 13 weeks pregnant. Did you get pregnant with this baby right after the chemical pregnancy?

No actually - after our 2nd m/c (I dont really know if that one would be a "chemical" because we made it to 8 weeks,but the baby never got past 4 wks) I couldnt do it anymore and we took about 6 months off from ttc and actually prevented because I was so scared of another m/c. We then tried for about 6 months before we decided on giving clomid a try. (I also have one blocked tube) - we went for our cd3 u/s before clomid and they found a large orange size tumor in my left ovary (she said that would have nothing to do iwht the miscarriages/chemicals) but she thought it had to come out. I had the tumor removed in July and started clomid in August. Got my bfp in August on our first round of clomid.

Hang in there Praying - find a good dr that you trust adn I am sure before you know it you will get your sticky bfp!! Its hard, I know - but it will happen! I am still so so terrified that something is going to happen with this pregnancy - I freak out every time i sneeze, etc, but so far all is good!

P.S. Have you tried clomid? I know that it makes your ovulation/eggs stronger soemtimes.

I haven't tried clomid yet. The test on cd 3 will be able to tell the quantity and quality of my eggs, so I guess we'll go from there. Well, I have read that m/c drops dramaticly after week 12. I have faith that it will happen for me, I just want it NOW! It's crazy cuz I'm 3 days late today and still getting bfn's. I'm never late so I'm not sure what's going on, maybe I o'd later than I thought. Thank you so much for your support and congrats on your preg. when do you go in for an u/s? I just wish a/f would come if she's gonna so I can get on with testing and this cycle :)

I have had an u/s every week since 6 wks along. :) I just had one on Thursday at 13wks exactly and now I don't go back until Nov 17th - its going to be a LONG 3 weeks after going every week for so long. It was my dr that told me to come every week - I think he knew how nervous I was. It was nice of him. He gave us an u/s every week but it was short - just a "there is the h/b" see ya! But it was nice to know that things were going well.

We are HOPING that on the 17th we will be able to get an idea of the sex, but it will still only be 16wks - so not totally sure.

Good luck! You may have just ovulated late. Its good you are getting all of those tests done. I was SURE I wasn't pregnat the month that I got pregnant - I told dh I would only do 2 rounds of clomid because I didn't like the side effects.

Oh that's great! It sounds like you have an awsome Dr.! What are some of the side effects of clomid? I heard you only take them from cd3-9? Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck with your next u/s. What are you hoping for, boy or girl?

actually we did cd3-7. I was so emotional - it was crazy! Cried at EVERYTHING. So crabby. Nips hurt like crazy, hot flashes, just felt ick. Typically you only take clomid for 5 days. Your dr will tell you when - I think it depends on your cycle. I think its a girl because the heartrate has been so high the whole time. I would LOVE a little girl, but I kind of want a boy first. I think that would be a little more fun. I will absolutely love either though:) Can't wait to find out!!!!

When will you be starting clomid if you do? when do you go back to your dr? Are you seeing an RE or just an OB?

Well it sounds like clomid works, so if thats what i need to get a good egg, i'm sure willing to do what ever it takes. I think af is on her way so as soon as I start I go in for the blood test on cd3, then again on 21. If I don't get preg. this month, maybe do clomid next cycle. Maybe I just need progesterone? I know you feel, I would love a girl, my son is 19. I would be so happy with either. What is a RE? I know he is the only infertility specialist in my area.

An Re is a fertility specialist. I also got my sticky bfp on progesterone. That could have also been what helped. I wasn't on it wtih my 2 m/c - so maybe that is all you need:) Good luck and let me know how your appts go! I can't wait to hear about your sticky bfp:)
