Laura so you don't know if you ovulated right? Then it could be your body getting back on track after BCPs. I have a lot of clots with my AF every month. Keep us posted on how it goes.

My period came yesterday on CD27 which is early for me. I wasnt expecting it until Sunday at the earliest. Since coming off of BC a year ago AF has only last 2 days and is really light. It started out like that yesterday but this morning I am passing clots and having horrible cramps, the cramps are to the point of making me nauseous and I have a God awful headache.
My question is can a chemical make you bleed before AF is due? I never took an HPT and wasn't tracking anything this month but this is the heaviest I have seen my period since before BCPs. Or could they just be finally getting back to normal?

Carrie, no I dont know if I ovulated. I usually do though. My cycles usually last about 30-34 days and since coming off of BCPs my periods have been very light and only last 2 days. Yesterday started out like that and this morning was nothing and then all of a sudden I started passing pretty big clots with a lot of bleeding and have been for about 3 hours now. My last AF was July 26 so given my long cycles I wasn't expecting it until at least Sunday and that would be at the earliest. I gues I'll just watch it and see what it does. I'm poppong midol like candy right now.
