wanting a baby badly

I really want a child badly and it hurts to see everyone else with kids. I just can't go out and see a child without feeling like I'm going to break down and cry. I just can't take it anymore. it hurts.

I know what you mean. It gets harder and harder to constantly see people pregnant, or hear more and more people announce it. We are blessed to have one daughter, who just turned 4, but we've been trying for 20 months to conceive with #2. We're on fertility meds now as well.

However, we just want ONE more, and its hard to see people with 3, 4, and more when some of us just want "one more".

How long have y'all been trying?

Are you on any kind of fertility meds?

Do you have any other kids as of now?

We started trying Jan 07, tried for 9 months, got pregnant, had a miscarriage (in oct 07), then got pregnant in July and had a chemical. We're on round 5 of Clomid now, hoping this works so we dont' have to move onto the next step. We have one round of Clomid left before that happens (IUI).

How long have y'all been trying?

Chemical is when you get a few positives, and then a few days later, shortly after your period should come, you get a negative. You've basically "gotten pregnant," but it didn't attach to the uterine wall in time, so you miscarry early.

Some call it an early m/c, and some refer to it as "chemical" b/c you "got" pregnant, but it just didn't hold.

Hoping, if you've been trying for 4 years, you DEFINITELY need to see an RE. Usually after 1 yr of trying, you need to start talking, at least with your OB. You need to check your dh's sperm analysis, and get your progesterone checked. If you see an RE, he may suggest an hsg procedure to make sure your tubes are open.
