Waiting for Doctors approval for Tubal Reversal
Im 27 , a mother of 3 healthy living boys. Ages 10, 8 & 6 (from previous marriage). Engaged to my soul mate. Had my tubes tied since 2003. My fiance and I are wanting to have a baby (or 3) of our own . I found a Doctor that I trust that will do a great job on my TR. Dr. Rogers in Jackson TN. Anyone know her? Well I have already faxed her my Post Operative report and letter if introduction. Waiting for her to tell me whether or not I am a canidate for the TR opperation. Waiting on a letter in the mail is killing me. I was going to go with Dr. Levin in KY but he has a packed schedule and we just cant wait that long. We have been talking about a baby of our own for 4 yrs. Ok... So my questions are::: When you had your TR, how long did it take to get you schedule? What doctor did you use? , how much pain is envolved, What meds are prescribed for pain, was you TR successful? I have already had pre-opp test done which included: PAP and full pelvic exam, CBC (complete blood count) and STD tests. Got all of my results back yesterday except for the PAP results. All blood work came back good. No STD's and blood count is perfect. PAP results take 2 weeks so I should have them on the 11th of Nov. So how long will I have to wait for the approval from the Dr.? Do you think I will be approved ? Im 27 yrs old. I weigh 141 lbs, im 5 ft 6. Filshie clips is the method used for my Tubal Ligation procedure. Its been 6 yrs having the clips on my tubes.... Thanks in advance for your help & support.

Tonya, I cant wait until your back on the other side!!! You sound like you have a great chance of a successful surgery The doctor wants to look at your chart to see how long your tubes are on both sides, that has alot to do with one of the determining factors to say whether its enough tube left to reconnect. I had my TR on 9/25/09. Downtown Chicago. The anticipation of getting ready for surgery is the worse. The actual surgery is quick. Depending on your tolerance for pain will say how long you take to heal. I thought I would go in for surgery on friday and go back to work that monday NOT>>>>I was off for 2wks..because that is serious and sensitive surgery to have and I want to make sure I heal right. My tubes were tied in 2000 (9yrs), im 31yrs old, mother of 3, 2 c-sections..girl u have a chance..stay positive...this is a very helpful site..
Wepray4-welcome to the other side!!!)

But hey, it wont be long! And my tolerance for pain is pretty good... Rarely take meds for anything unless its unbearable......
