So, I'm 16+ weeks pregnant and I can see the beginnings of a growing uterus (I can still fit in my normal clothes, but they're getting tight...very, very tight).
Anyway, I've been noticing a few bladder issues, and I'm wondering if they suggest a UTI, or if this is just pregnancy.
I feel like I have to pee all of the time, even a few moments after I have "emptied". When I do pee, there tends to not be a lot there. There is no burning whatsoever. There's no cloudiness (although, earlier in my pregnancy I would have cloudy pee first thing in the morning).
Then, today at the gym, I was on the elliptical machine and I felt an ache in my uterine region. It wasn't cramping, but an ache. It was very much at the front, and just above my pelvic bone. As soon as I stopped and sat down, it went away. When I stood back up, it ached again, but it also triggered a strong urge to pee. I peed and the ache went away.
So, again, I have no real symptoms but a frequent strong urge to pee when there isn't much to release. Is this a normal part of pregnancy that one experiences when a uterus begins to put pressure on the bladder, or something that sounds like a UTI.
Oh, and I love cranberry juice, so I drink a glass a day anyway...which I would think would help me prevent this.
Finally, I have my monthly checkup with my doctor on Thursday. As long as this isn't getting any worse, is there any reason I should make a special appointment to go see her?
Thanks.
