uterine fibriod,pregnancy and miscarriage

I know several women who have carried full term with a fibroid, but it all depends on the size, shape, and the location. I had a 2.5 cm fibroid, small enough that most doctors overlooked it. It was located far enough from the uterine lining. After 4 unexplained miscarriages, my RE did a hysteroscopy to get a better look at the fibroid. It turns out the fibroid was distorting the shape of my uterus (you can't see that via ultrasound). It was a difficult decision, but I had a myomectamy to remove the fibroid about 9 months ago. I am finally pregnant again right now... but it's early so I don't if it's going to stick this time. I'm praying it does! Things to remember when you make your decision is the fibroid will most likely to grow with the baby so problems may arrive later in pregnancy. I would discuss it further with your doctor!

Madelineu have giving me much hope. I have also been in the same boat as u. I recently had a tumor the size of my uterus removed barely on March08. i also had 2 miscarriages. The doc gave me the ok to start trying and this is going to be 4th try. He is giving me clomid pills to help me ovulate. He also told me that i have a very good chance to have a healthy pregnacy. Hi Anna, well... this should give you even MORE hope! I just had my first ultrasound - and for the first time in 5 pregnancies - I saw a heartbeat!!! It was strong and the baby is growing perfectly on schedule!

You have a VERY good chance of having a healthy pregnancy. I know 5 women who have had 1 or more children following a myo! Have faith that you made the right choice and that your baby is on it's way!!!!

thank u so much.Rite now my eyes r filled with tears of joy. Please keep me posted on how UR doing. I started my 5th cycle of clomid and the doctor kept it at 50. Kind of sad widhed he had giving me a little more stronger dose. But we have to wait and see. However may GOD Bless u and ur baby Madeline.
